Don't miss this event in early October every year with as many as 750 balloons sailing aloft, many of which are special shapes. Think wine bottles, trucks, bumble bees, Elvis, Darth Vader, Jesus, stage coaches, flying pigs . . . you name it and maybe you'll see it. Also, chain saw carving, car show, many concessionaires with tasty food offerings,... More

The museum has gotten better since the first time (2013) I visited. Many displays, stories and actual balloons and ballooning paraphernalia. For the balloon enthusiast I recommend.

Knowing that Albuquerque was famous for Balloon Fiesta, and hot air balloons in general, this was a place i was interested in going to. I didn't think that there was much to ballooning, but I was proven wrong. The museum was very informative and interesting, and provided a lot of history on ballooning and also Albuquerque's role in ballooning. Everything... More

On our last day in ALBQ we hadn't planned much in case we didn't get all of the other things on our list done. It was a Sunday & in looking over our tourist materials, we saw that it was free admission to the Balloon Museum on Sun. from 9AM to 1PM. So we decided to start the day there.... More

I read some reviews of the museum and was super excited to go, however, I was disappointed. The most interesting part of the museum is that it backs up to the field where they hold the balloon fiesta.

This is an experience that is so unique, so wonderful, so awe inspiring you will come away with jaw ache because of your non-stop smiling. Up to 700 hot air balloons gliding effortlessly into the early morning Albuquerque Sky will give you an experience that is not found anywhere else on earth. Get there ver very early because the traffic... More

You need not spend a lot of time here, but it is a great Museum with low admission costs. They have interesting facts about ballooning history and some life size balloons as well as cool models of balloons through history
