Although the museum is rather small, it covers a ton of balloon information and statistics. It features several different balloons of all sizes and feats, including the balloons in war; the Gordon Bennett Competition; first aerial photography and the Albuquerque International balloon Fiesta. If you are interested in balloons or the Albuquerque balloon fiesta, it is worth a visit.

Great museum - you can't come to Albuquerque, the home of the Hot Air Balloon festival each October, and not learn about balloon science and history. Great exhibits - will return with friends and family so they might enjoy and learn.

Nice museum but not anything special. Perhaps you need to be a balloon enthusiast to truly get something out of the experience. I wouldn't go back.

We were there for the 4th of July event which was well run. Holly was amazing at answering questions and solving issues. We had a chance to peek at the exhibits in the museum and it seemed, for its size, kind of under-whelming with the exhibits. It did not hold my 2 boys' attention at all. If I were there... More

I did not know what to expect when we entered the museum but found it to be very interesting. We were greeted by a gentleman who asked if we would like a tour. We accepted his offer, and he showed us many of the exhibits and was able to tell us great additional stories for each of the areas that... More

Didn't have time to see the museum exhibits, but we happily snapped a few photos of the exterior, and visited the gift shop before our drive to Oklahoma City. Hope to try again someday.

I did not realize all of the history of balloons and the number of attempts for trans-atlantic flights as well as flights around the world. The museum is so inexpensive that it really should not be missed. I enjoyed it much more than I thought that I would - it is very informative.

If you have interest in the field (and hard facts) of ballooning, this is a great museum. Inside you will find lots of actual ballooning items and a lot of history. The "Balloon School" is fun where you can "fly" a video balloon, practice weaving the patterns of a wicker gondola, learn some useful knots and other activities without a... More

This is a great museum for small children. Not too big and very hands on. Very informative for older kids and adults.

The fun starts early like around 5 am so it can be cold. I would recommend that you dress in layers. There is food available and lots of hot coffee. There is venders of all types for you to check. out. Be sure to bring your camera.
