Definitely worth the time to visit this well done museum. We had a question and the staff member at the reception desk upstairs in the office area was very helpful. You could tell she liked her job. She walked back down stairs with us and made sure our questions were answered. She also pointed an area we had missed that... More

You have to stop by and learn the incredible history of hot air ballooning and Albuquerque. They go hand and hand and it is really interesting. Hands on area for kids to have a blast. Great gift store and easy to get to this museum.

I'm so glad we stopped by here. We spent an hour learning all about how hot air balloons have been used throughout history. It was an interesting visit.

We have been to Albuquerque several times visiting family and never got the chance to visit this relatively new balloon museum until this weekend. The museum is decent size but can be viewed in a relatively short time. The museum is modern and the architecture is made to look like a balloon from the front and the back. The museum... More

This was my 6th trip to Albuquerque and our first visit to the Balloon Museum. Being out of state visitors and seniors it was only $2.00 to get in, a real bargain. The history and displays are really interesting, it was fascinating to see the gondolas up close and in detail. A very nice and well organized museum.

The docent/tour guide was VERY good. Very knowledgeable. Beautiful exhibits and very well done. Minimal interactive stuff for kids but still an interesting visit if you are in Albuquerque and finding out the history of ballooning and why this place is ideal for ballooning because of the specific wind/pressure factors

Probably the best visit in Albuquerque and if our visit was any indication it is largely undiscovered. The museum is large, relatively new, and with excellent information on the history of hot air and gas ballooning both worldwide and in Albuquerque. Details on long distance balloon flights including one completed just a few weeks ago that I had not even... More

I have never been to anything quite like this in my life The morning glow was awesome. I truly enjoyed helping the people there get set up to fly. The only real ripoff I saw was if you wanted to fly in one of the ballons. Come on, all those great people there and you have to go through one... More
