Who would think a Hot Air Balloon Museum would hold my interest.I love the balloons, dont get me wrong, but the museum is fascinating. I learned so much and was especially fascinated about the history of the balloons during war time. Of course, the fact that my wonderful niece is on staff made the visits even more enjoyable

This is so much more than a balloon museum. I learned so much history!!! Who knew in WWII the Japanese took young school girls from their families to make hot air balloons which were to be used to launch bombs over the United States? I highly recommend this venue. PS It is very well organized and laid out.

Lots of hot air balloon history and trivia. A must-see for those who love hot air balloons. A great place for kids to explore and for adults to admire. Free admission on Sundays 9am-1pm and the first Friday of every month.

This is a unique museum. Lots of information on displays and a balloon pilot simulator can be found on the floor. Overseas balloons and their original capsules can be seen. Exciting stories about the people venture to cross oceans in high altitude and travel in a capsule around the world. How amazing and dangerous.

This is an excellent museum and getting better all the time. The museum is fairly new, but continually adds appropriate artifacts and displays. Worth a visit if you are in the area.

I admit I know nothing about ballooning and have never even seen a balloon except from a distance as one floated overhead. I wanted to know more so decided this was the place. I got off to a poor start when the directions I had printed from the Internet were hard to follow and I got lost getting here. When... More

Lovely building with walk through galleries taking one through the history of lighter than air flight.

I have been to several events here, but this time I visited the Museum itself. Very informative about the history, making, services, and mechanics of balloons. It had all the different histories of balloon from wars to competitions. Worth the fee to see all these things, and proud that New Mexico has a big part of the Balloon history.
