We enjoyed this museum, although I only wish there were more to see as far as the exhibits are concerned. A lot of wide open space in the museum, and not enough things to see to justify the admission price.

The entrance fee was 2$ per person. Money well spent! The museum gives an excellent overview from the very first beginnings of balloon rides to the record flights over the Atlantic, Pacific and around the world. Even the latest record ascent and skydive decent (Felix Baumgartner) is not missing. You will learn how ballooning works in the first place. Then...

This is a smaller museum, but it is filled with interesting facts about hot air ballooning. It is a great stop before you actually take a hot air balloon ride.
First of all, even the outside of the museum is interesting. The design is very clever, and walking into the museum is like walking into a different world. Everything is so well laid out and explained. Lots of stuff for the little and big ones to have hands on experiences.

Amazing exhibits of the earliest balloon flights and up to present day flights. Very unusual museum and we learned so much. I would definitely recommend a visit to this museum the day before you do your own balloon ride.
I have been to this museum several times and am always impressed with the quality of the exhibits. Traveling shows have been wonderful, especially the one about Fugos (fascinating! look it up). Docents are knowledgeable and friendly. With luck, you'll get Mel!
we went here because we crew for a balloon company, this is an awesome place to go if you want to see the balloons and learn how the ballooning works. take the kids they will love it
This is a great history of the Balloons in Albuquerque over the years, from the very first to all the side shows. Great science trip for kids/schools.
After a balloon ride over Albuquerque a trip to the museum is a must. The history of ballooning is fascinating and there is a great gift shop to help keep your memories.
This is a great museum. I brought my three children (4, 6 & 8)- all three enjoyed it. The exhibits are well laid out, lighting is beautiful and so many opportunties to actively engage the exhibits. My eight yr old loved flying and landing the balloon. We learned alot about ballooning and have cute pictures. This is a good value...
