Small

It's definitely small for the price. There's no hands on tanks either for their rays. We enjoyed the experience but I most likely wouldn't return

I had a good time at the aquarium it was the perfect time to go because there wasn't a crowd. I enjoyed the exhibits offered and this is a good place to spend family or leisure time. I went to the aquarium and the botanic gardens in the same day so it was the perfect outing.

We have a membership to the ABQ Biopark and it includes this aquarium. It isn't a bad place but it is smaller than we expected and there were a lot of visitors for such a small space.

We had a combo ticket, which made the visit worth it. We rode the train over from the zoo. We had lunch in the restaurant, which I cannot say enough nice things about! The food was good, decent price, and the kids (and us adults) loved watching the animals in the large aquarium wall while we ate. The aquarium itself... More

The ABQ BioPark Aquarium is a nice, little aquarium in the middle of the desert. It occupies the same property as the ABQ BioPark Botanical Gardens. It is a small aquarium compared to Atlanta, Corpus Christi, or California. It does highlight some of the animals that do live in the Rio Grande in NM, and the habitat needed to sustain... More

Bought a combo ticket for the zoo + aquarium. Nice little train ride over from the zoo. A bit longer walk from station to aquarium than normal due to construction, but detour path was well marked. No problem using our combo-ticket to get into the aquarium. Wow! There were way too many people clogging up the aisles, blocking exhibits, creating... More

First of all, this aquarium is not bad it's just kind of small and not that impressive or unique compared to others I have visited. The sting rays, jelly fish and sharks are neat. If you are planning to check out the botanical gardens then taking a detour into the aquarium is worth it. But if it's a destination to... More

I agree with other reviews: The train takes longer to get there from the zoo than to actually tour it. I was alone and without kids to slow me down, so I was able to zip through the whole tour in 15 minutes. Disappointing, but keep in mind I live near the Atlantic ocean a visit large aquariums often. Children... More

I really hate giving bad reviews- sorry! But it took us longer to ride the train over from the zoo (30 minute train ride) than to get through this place. We've been to many aquariums, and unfortunately this one ranks at the bottom. Not much to see and very small. Also in many of the enclosed areas sounds echo terribly-... More

The BIOPark Aquarium is absolutely beautiful. There are sharks, alligators, large and small jellyfish, turtles, stingrays--so many beautiful species of fish. When I made it to the shark tank, I thought there was more to see, but that was the end of the exhibit. I'd highly recommend spending a few hours here.
