The ABQ BioPark Aquarium is a nice, little aquarium in the middle of the desert. It occupies the same property as the ABQ BioPark Botanical Gardens. It is a small aquarium compared to Atlanta, Corpus Christi, or California. It does highlight some of the animals that do live in the Rio Grande in NM, and the habitat needed to sustain... More

Bought a combo ticket for the zoo + aquarium. Nice little train ride over from the zoo. A bit longer walk from station to aquarium than normal due to construction, but detour path was well marked. No problem using our combo-ticket to get into the aquarium. Wow! There were way too many people clogging up the aisles, blocking exhibits, creating... More

First of all, this aquarium is not bad it's just kind of small and not that impressive or unique compared to others I have visited. The sting rays, jelly fish and sharks are neat. If you are planning to check out the botanical gardens then taking a detour into the aquarium is worth it. But if it's a destination to... More

I agree with other reviews: The train takes longer to get there from the zoo than to actually tour it. I was alone and without kids to slow me down, so I was able to zip through the whole tour in 15 minutes. Disappointing, but keep in mind I live near the Atlantic ocean a visit large aquariums often. Children... More

I really hate giving bad reviews- sorry! But it took us longer to ride the train over from the zoo (30 minute train ride) than to get through this place. We've been to many aquariums, and unfortunately this one ranks at the bottom. Not much to see and very small. Also in many of the enclosed areas sounds echo terribly-... More

The BIOPark Aquarium is absolutely beautiful. There are sharks, alligators, large and small jellyfish, turtles, stingrays--so many beautiful species of fish. When I made it to the shark tank, I thought there was more to see, but that was the end of the exhibit. I'd highly recommend spending a few hours here.

This may be a bit smaller than what you would expect if you have gone to a big city aquarium, but they have done a nice job presenting the different environments and aquatic life. I really liked that you could stand at the side and watch all the creatures swim by you. Even while you eat your lunch in the... More

This is a rather small aquarium with some nice fish to see. The tropical exhibits are nice and the shark and ray tank is giant which was a nice surprise considering how small the actual aquarium is. Feeding time is something to see, some of these rays are massive and act like puppy dogs in the feeders hands. They have a... More

Another snowy day in Albuquerque, so looked for an indoor attraction and we were not disappointed in the BioPark Aquarium. Small but well laid out, it was a hit with my grand-daughter who absolutely LOVED the Manta Rays and Sea Stars. We can't wait to go back and walk the outdoor attractions in the BioPark. The gift shop is well... More

The aquarium had some nice exhibits but I was very surprised by how small it is. The gift shop is really expensive too given that going through the aquarium took a little over an hour.
