This is one of my 6 year old's favorite places to go in Albuquerque. I'm impressed with not only the Aquarium but the BioPark botanical gardens that are right next door. My kids love it all. Sharks are my boy's favorite here while the jellyfish tube is my daughter's. I love watching them. Staff is helpful and usually very knowledgeable.... More

Pros: The ocean tank was neat with huge sting rays and sharks. The tanks were well maintained and the fish looked healthy. Cons: Extremely small. Walked through in a half and hour, including the time we spent watching the ocean tank.

This was a great place for my toddler. He was very excited and happy to visit the zoo wand aquarium. Strollers are snacks are recommended for breaks and shade stops.

Really unique botanical space. Something for everyone; a kids interactive garden with oversized insects, a miniature train exhibit, formal rose garden, wonderful Japanese garden, a specialty garden with festival green, and a 10 acre heritage farm complete with a blue grass band on the front porch. After 2+ hours on the trails we had lunch at the Shark Reef Café... More

We have been to a number of fine aquariums and this was as good as any! The young staffers at tables helped to educate us further as they were experts on their assignment. Toddlers can easily enjoy the short windows into the aquariums. The shark cafe had tasty lemonade, a fruit plate, and French fries while providing a huge window... More

The aquarium is really small but the exhibits are cool. It is definitely worth a visit in combination with the botanical gardens (both are included with admission ). Some days they will have a touch tank setup so that you can touch a stingray and shark. It's pretty neat.

It makes for a nice little field trip...and the kids love it! You can see the entire aquarium in about an hour if you don't linger too long...two hours, if you take your time. But, it's nice to have it near home and visitors love it. The bonus is that it's right next to the Bio Park, so you can... More

One of the smaller aquariums we've visited, but nice. It is included in the price of admission to the botanical gardens.

Coming from CA and being to Monterey, CA to the best Aquarium, ever, I was pleasantly surprised by the one in Albq. Not quite as big, but some great views of fish, jelly fish, a lot of stingrays, etc. It was easy to get around and our grandkids, ages 1 & 3 enjoyed it.
