We were able to buy a combo pass deal on Groupon but even without this place is well worth the price. We visited with 2 children ages 5 and 8. We arrived at opening, 9 am, and went through half the zoo. We rode the train to the aquarium and had lunch there. After finishing the aquarium, we rode the... More

it is a great facility with an excellent mix of animals and exhibits. prices are affordable given the nature of public funded facilities. There are enough activities to keep even the young attention span focused. the central park area is great for picnicking or just to relax for a bit while you can let the kids be kids.

The zoo was much bigger than expected and they had a good selection of animals. I was a little disappointed that the parrot exhibit is closed right now but it will it is nice that they are doing renovations. It was hard to find since there were not a lot of signs directing us to the park. I would go... More

Visited Albuquerque last weekend to celebrate a family birthday. Found this amazing resource. Started out at the Aquarium and then spent 90 minutes walking the Botanic Gardens. Impressive facility.

We are members of the ABQ BioPark Zoo. We visit multiple times through the year. It is a very family friendly place; coolers & picnic lunches are permitted, in addition to the food services available in the zoo. There are various concerts on the green throughout the year. There are special kid/family focused activities through the year. The zoo has... More

All the standard animals for American zoos. Liked the elephant exhibit area -- good visibility without feeling like we were intruding on their space. Esp. memorable was the Tropical America building: well laid out with lots of visible animals in their forested habitat, plus bonus roaches and mice. Very entertaining & educational for my kids (10 & 13yo)! "That's why... More

We took our Granddaughter to the Zoo for the 1st time, as we were visiting from California. Our huge Zoo in Fresno charges less for entrance to begin with. Then it seemed that about 1/3 of the animal exhibits were shutdown. Very disappointing. The amphitheater area is wonderful, with a huge duck pond that kids just love. Also the monkey... More

Come one come all, groups or singles. Explore a multitude of ecosystems in a single afternoon. Talk about eye candy! Door handles, fountains, sidewalks, benches, free standing sculptures add additional flair to the aquarium and botanical gardens. Take the train to the zoo and back. The price is so very reasonable ($15.00 for adult NM residents for all four page... More

Impromptu visit to the BioPark Zoo on a Friday, first full day of Spring, was an excellent decision. We paid a very reasonable admission to see the Aquarium and the Gardens (you'll have to poney up a few dollars more to ride the train to the Zoo). The displays and creative architecture of the place make the admission well worth... More

This is a world-class zoo that is run by a small city. There is only one other zoo in North America (the San Diego) that participates in the conservation of Tasmanian devils and offers the possibility of seeing these unique animals. Also, Albuquerque not only has beautiful but endangered snow leopards, but has one of the most successful breeding pairs... More
