We had the best day at the alpaca ranch. We my husband and I took our grandchildren 5 and 3 they loved hugging Bella and feeding them. The best treat was when Skip brought our a cria....a newborn. Alpacas are gentle and Skip couldn't have been nicer. Please visit all ages welcome...disabilities also!

My daughter was visiting and wanted to see alpacas. So we made the appointment and went to see the alpacas. We learned a lot about them and why these particular ones are such stellar animals, winning awards. It's a beautiful area and Skip, the owner, was patient with our questions. The store had some great items at reasonable prices. Next... More

My family have never met alpacas before, but Skip Chavez gave us a very thorough tour, answering questions and introducing us to his fuzzy group. We thoroughly enjoyed learning about these mild-mannered animals and seeing their habitat. Thanks, Skip, for a great experience!

My family & I, which included my 1 1/2 year old daughter visited Albuquerque Alpacas one morning. And what a delightful experience. My daughter loved the alpacas, they even had some baby alpacas & a friend alpaca named Bella. Very friendly people and informative. So... The wife loves alpacas. I wasn't too fond of them until I went to see them here at Albuquerque Alpacas. They're a different type of cool fuzzy little animals. Not only did we enjoy feeding and viewing an afternoon in the life of these animals; we were able to learn more about them in an informative tour. I missed... More

We called and scheduled a visit to the Albuquerque alpaca ranch. What a fun little adventure. We were given a private tour of the ranch and got to spend time with the alpacas up close. They were as friendly as dogs, yet softer fur. They were adorable. My daughter even got to walk one! We both fed them and one... More

We visited not knowing what to expect and we were pleasantly surprised. Leslie gave us a tour of the alpaca pens and patiently told us all about the alpacas. She even let our kids walk the alpacas, feed them and we got to take multiple pictures with them. We then got a quick lesson on shearing and how to make... More

These guys are just too cute!! We went on one of the "open house" days. The ladies there were very friendly and informative. They even provided cookies and the best apple cider I've ever had! My 4 year old LOVED petting and feeding the alpacas. There was no entrance fee.

Spent an hour here with a friend, and had a wonderful time petting the alpacas, feeding them, learning about their history, grooming, behavior, habits, and so much more from the owner, Leslie. She loves sharing her knowledge, giving tours to families and groups. You can also sign up for classes in felting and spinning. She showed us the craft room,... More
