Great museum

This was a very significant museum and showcased a racing family that was a backbone of today's racing.

I'm a race fan, but had no idea the Unsers were such a racing family. There was a lot of information and the docents were friendly and full of information. You must go to the back part of the museum to see the car collection and trophy room. The Unser family has donated A LOT of their trophies to the... More

When you first enter the museum, you enter right into a very nice gift shop, but the cars you about about the see are in plain sight beyond it. The admission for this museum is excellently priced. Adults 10$, Seniors 6$, kids under 16 free. The best thing about the museum is that the cars are not roped off. you... More

This is a must see for all racing fans. From the checkered banner entry, with an Indycar and part of an Indy 500 catch fence out front, to cars and interactive displays inside, it is a worthwhile visit. There is even an interactive race car so you can drive 5 laps of the Indy 500. It is worth a trip... More

The day we went we had the pleasure of meeting Al Unser. He stopped and talked to the patrons of the museum and took pictures with who ever wanted with him. There are two buildings full of race cars, trophies and memorabilia. There are kiosks around the museum as well as volunteers who are very knowledgable. A must see! Inexpensive... More

I was very impressed by this museum which covers not just the Indy and other well known events, but also midget racing, the Pikes Peak race, etc. There are examples of engine development, historic cars and motor cycles collected over the years

If your a racing fan this is a must see, they did a great job and the only thing i wish i could have done was gone in the trophy room to see up close all the different helmets and trophys and other items they have collected over there career.

We weren't planning to go to the racing museum, but it looked so inviting from the outside as we were driving by, we decided to stop in while enjoying the ABQ Int'l Balloon Festival. To our surprise, Mr. Unser was there and greeted us in person!!! What a great guy and so gracious! The museum was spotlessly clean and very... More

My experience of the Unser family exploits is limited to reading about them in 1960s motor racing magazines in England. I was very impressed by this museum which covers not just the Indy and other well known events, but also midget racing, the Pikes Peak race, etc. There are videos covering each section. As well as the race cars there are... More

I grew up in Indianapolis and have had a few drinks with Bobby and Al many years ago so I had to see this. To see all these famous race cars and read the stories behind them was a real treat. There's another museum on site that has many old cars, trucks, etc. that's very enjoyable also. If you like... More
