Description: We are not like other Jeep tour companies that make this about the thrill...
We are not like other Jeep tour companies that make this about the thrill or attraction ride, but about our land, history, culture and wildlife. This tour takes place on a 20,000 acre private ranch exclusive to New Mexico Jeep Tours. Located less than half-hour from Albuquerque and Santa Fe we are convenient reducing drive time to our meeting locations for both cities. Depending on the length of the tour you will see prehistoric ruins complete with pottery shards left by the prehistoric people, early Spanish settlement and petroglyphs. (Prehistoric communications etched in stone.) We have hours and options for photographers as well. If your into adventure we offer desert survival skills such as making fire, finding water and of course which plants can be used as food. The tours are private and personal for just you, family or friends, therefore we can cater to your interests and abilities. Please note the we cannot guarantee the wild mustangs but on most tours we see them.

This is a can't miss opportunity to see the desert backcountry and learn about the flora, fauna and people who inhabited the area. Roch is a gentleman and perfect host who willingly shared his extensive knowledge pertaining to edible and medicinal plants and showed us the remnants of former Spanish and Native American settlements and abandoned towns. Wild horses, petroglyphs... More

The private jeep tour was great! There were 3 of us on a girl's weekend and the jeep tour/hiking was the highlight of our trip. Our tour guide, Frank, was very knowledgeable about the area and made the tour fun. The owner, Roch, was easy to contact and responded to our emails quickly. I highly recommend this tour!

This jeep tour was unforgettable for us. Our driver, Roch, was very knowledgeable and truly liked being a tour guide. We had fun and learned a great deal. We wanted to hike and Roch showed us so much on foot. Don't miss this tour. Thanks again Roch!

Just finished a 3 hour tour with Clint. His knowledge of the terrain, history and geology was impressive. Got to see old ruins, wild horses, petroglyphs, artifacts and he even threw in a mini snow storm and horse stampede. The tour was a good mix of driving/hiking so we were always entertained. If you like the outdoors this is a... More

Our three hour tour with Roch was one of the best trips we've done, and we have been to Alaska,Zion, Bryce, Grand Canyon, and Europe. Roch truly knows the area, the plants, geology, and wildlife, and his enthusiasm for the desert is infectious. He is a fun, personable, and knowledgeable guy. Take this tour, it is money well spent and... More

If you are interested in seeing one of the most beautiful high desert ranches in New Mexico and the remains of human habitation going back for centuries and a primer course on the plants and animals and the environment of this place, this is the activity for you. Tour operator Roch Hart is thoroughly knowledgeable and a generally good guy.... More

Our group consisted of myself, my wife and our 12 and 13 year old daughters. I tried to pack as much into the four hour tour as i could making it a challenge on Roch but he came through. And boy, did he. The best part was that as we went along, he seemed to be refining the tour knowing... More

I booked this tour for my adult daughter and I in hopes of seeing and learning as much as possible about NM in the brief time we had to visit. Roch did not disappoint us. We had a 5 hour tour and saw as much of this lovely landscape as possible in that time. The land he tours is privately... More

My son and I did a 3 hour tour and our guide Tom was excellent. He immediately made a great connection with my son with their mutual interest in history. He made learning fun and exciting for both of us. The owner Roch also was great at setting up our reservation and getting everything done right the first time. This... More

Our family of 6 - parents (60 y) and adult children/spouses had a wonderful 4-hr jeep tour with Roch and Frank in late March. Roch was very quick and helpful to early inquiries when we were planning our trip and we arranged a 4-hr jeep tour that would cover wild horses, petroglyphs, mining town, and photography. The private land and... More
