Description: We are not like other Jeep tour companies that make this about the thrill...
We are not like other Jeep tour companies that make this about the thrill or attraction ride, but about our land, history, culture and wildlife. This tour takes place on a 20,000 acre private ranch exclusive to New Mexico Jeep Tours. Located less than half-hour from Albuquerque and Santa Fe we are convenient reducing drive time to our meeting locations for both cities. Depending on the length of the tour you will see prehistoric ruins complete with pottery shards left by the prehistoric people, early Spanish settlement and petroglyphs. (Prehistoric communications etched in stone.) We have hours and options for photographers as well. If your into adventure we offer desert survival skills such as making fire, finding water and of course which plants can be used as food. The tours are private and personal for just you, family or friends, therefore we can cater to your interests and abilities. Please note the we cannot guarantee the wild mustangs but on most tours we see them.

In May I took a photography tour with Tom Brahe. The trip itself was a wonderful experience. We spent a little over 8 hours traversing some very beautiful territory including some spots from famous movies like Young Guns. We also visited some ghost towns, namely Golden and Hagan. The scenery on the tour is once in a lifetime. Mesas, watersheds,... More

My boyfriend and I are in our late 20s, and booked this tour with Roch, the owner of Jeep Tours and Manager of this beautiful ranch. I cannot believe that it spans the size of Manhattan, and with our 7 hour tour, we only covered a quarter of it, yet saw so much! This was our first time going to... More

We took a jeep tour with Clint. It was extremely interesting besides being so much fun. We had my 10 year old and Clint made it so fun for her. We were able to see a herd of wild horses under a rainbow, beautiful! The artifacts and history were so interesting. We are planning to do the tour again next... More

From the dozen+ emails I sent before getting things nailed down (including having to cancel our 1st attempt in July) to the last handshake goodbye, our tour guru, Roch, was seriously phenomenal. His patience, class, & overall knowledge of everything in the area (plants, history, photography, geology, & wildlife) is FAR beyond any reasonable expectations. You just give him an... More

We live in Albuquerque and decided to try out the 6-hour New Mexico Jeep Tour. Little did we know that only 35 minutes from our house, there was so much to be discovered on a 22,000acre ranch, just outside Placitas, NM. Our Native American driver and tour guide, Frank, is knowledgeable, pleasant, and a first-rate human being. He introduced us... More

I wanted to do something different with my son before he left for college. This was so much fun! We took a 3 hour tour and it was perfect. The area is beautiful, the guide was informative, funny and nice and the ride was a blast. A bit expensive but worth it for a different thing to do. I would... More

What to do in NM we say? Be an explorer... step out of civilization and back in time...see wild horses...stand on the seat of a bumpy jeep over washed out roads...imagine the life of past by searching through ruins and reading the writing on the walls of petroglyphs. For best trip...wear good walking shoes, and hat, sunscreen, have a camera,... More

We booked a 3 hour tour while visiting Albuquerque for my boyfriend's 30th birthday. We were both a little hesitant about how much we would like it, but any doubts were squashed within the first 15 minutes. Tom was our guide and showed us an AMAZING time. Not only did he get to know us during the tour and catered... More

Wow! What can I say other than, wow! From the moment we stepped out of our car to the moment we were dropped off at the end of our trip, Roch was as professional as could be. Throughout the trip, he took great care to ensure our safety and we couldn't have felt more comfortable with him. Roch knows what... More

I never thought I'd be bouncing through dried arroyos in a real jeep on the way to Hagan - a ghost town, clutching the handgrips and seats, praying that we'd get through, hoping that my photo equipment didn't smash. Possibly the most stimulating experience of my life. "Off-road" had no real meaning before this. We - husband and wife -... More
