Form the second you walk in, you are drawn to several stations of science and engineering hands on fun. Toddlers, teens, and adults are all mixing together constructing, building, drawing, yelling, "woahing", and learning. We make it a point to visit every time we travel through Albuquerque, and we see/learn something new every time! Families with kids MUST stop in... More

The Explora is the perfect blend between science center and children's museum. I wish that I had my wife and kids there with me, they would have loved it. I visited the Explora on a business trip and had a terrific time. I could have spent several hours there. There are hands-on activities there for people of all ages and... More

I have been to many science centers/museums and the Explora Science Center and Children's Museum is one of the two best in the United States (in my opinion). The other being the Exploratorium in San Francisco. In a nut shell, this museum is truly HANDS-ON, and the exhibit/stations are completely in working order. How many times have you been in... More

Great hands on activities and crafts for children 3 to 12. Lots and lots of engaging physical science activities and it even had infant/toddler rooms with special activities just for them. If we lived closer we would be up there every week

The kids were busy exploring for over 2 hours and could have stayed longer. Many different activities and building stations. The giant bubble station was the most popular!

We spent about 2 hours here on a Monday afternoon with my 8 year old son and thankfully it wasn't too crowded because it's all interactive. My son really loved this place, especially the water exhibits. But there are definitely some areas that need to be addressed. Many of the exhibits are sectioned off in mini cubicle areas with 7... We were just stopping in Albuquerque to break up a road trip and decided to stop by the Children's Museum. We had a good time. I have a six year old boy and he did enjoy it. My son doesn't always have a great attention span but he did like to go from station to station. I would say that... More

While the place is not flashy, the sheer quantity of well-done interactive science stations is amazing. I wish we had a museum like this in around here! A must-visit for kids or anyone with an ounce of curiosity.
