We came on a winter non-holiday weekday so it was not crowded. To be honest, it seems like a lot of local moms get annual passes and use the place as a year round indoor playground to bring the kids and chat with their mom friends. Most of the science concepts in the exhibits us beyond my two and a... More

Our toddler loves Explora, and we keep coming back every time we're in town! Ironically, his favorite part is the outdoor playground, even when we tell him there's plenty of other parks to go to! We have an annual pass which helps cut down on time pressure.

Hands on activities. Science...Well Planned. Something for everyone I participated in the very stages of planning for this exciting center. This museum is located at Old Town dating back to the 1700's settled by the Spanish on El Camino Real. The Plaza has a Gazebo and is planned just like the old towns in Spain. Many activities family activities take... More

This place is amazing! I think the best part of the whole experience was the unobtrusive nature of the science and learning aspects. I've been to lots of other kids' museums where the science and learning gets in the way of the fun--too much reading and not enough action. And there are others where the fun is overemphasized to the... More

We live in Albuquerque and have gone here a number of times. It is a lot of fun and always very interesting. My son took a class there in Fall 2014 and enjoyed it. The staff was always friendly and helpful. When you go, make sure you check out the elevator. It's a large elevator so that they can move... More

We had an awesome time at Explora. I just wish we had scheduled more time. They have things to do for kids of all ages that will keep them entertained for hours.

Even though this place is meant to be for children, I went here on a date with my boyfriend and had the best time! If you are not afraid of heights (or even if you are!!) The bike is a must do! Even though you are totally strapped in, there is something thrilling about peddling a bike across a wire... More

You don't usually find museums that cater to kids---this one does. Like everything else in Albuquerque (and out west) you travel to find it.
