We saw plenty of different species of birds while driving along the shore. The cranes and herons look regal.
you see so many birds that are fun to watch. The gulf coast has so much to offer . Get on the move and travel those backroads. Come see Texas, it is a beautiful state.
We stayed right on the Laguna Madre and watched the birds every morning. It was wonderful and peaceful. You want to stay clear of the refinery though- it smells.
It's really nice, but just beware of the jellyfish. They are everywhere! If you want to swim, go further on North Padre Island drive where the water is a bit more rough. The jellies seem to like the water that is still. Pretty view.
Good fishing but you need to know where to fish so take someone knowledgeable or hire a fishing guide if it's your first time.
Hoping to find a party boat charter...seems not popular at this time of the year. First choice operator taking boat out for coast guard inspection. Guess will have to come back again....
The Laguna Madre is the body of water between North Padre Island and the mainland.
