Years ago when I was in school, we took a trip here with our 4-H group. It was beautiful. Sweltering hot, but beautiful all the same. There was a great pavillion to picnic under and the staff was very knowledgable. Great learning experience.

The Botanical Garden was indeed small but what they chose to display I think they did well. The Bromiliad and Orchid Conservatories had instructive signs and a fairly large selection of varieties. The Butterfly garden was enchanting. We enjoyed the herb garden in the test area and the arid garden. It was worth a visit. There is room for them...

Having been to a few botanical gardens around the country, I was excited to see this one. It looked small from the parking lot and it turned out, in fact, to be pretty small. Many common parrots in cages do not equate to any kind of garden. Though it was February when I visited, I assume a tropical climate paired...

We went at a bad time, so it's hard to judge based on our experience. Since we went late in the day in off season, they only charged us $3 each.
My wife wanted to birdwatch and this was recommended. Our visit was coming off one of the worst droughts in the history of Texas and you could see that...

They have a few birds around in cages but, they looked like they werent being very well taken care of. They have no foraging material in their cages and it just...

I so enjoyed my visit to this remote botanical garden in Corpus Christi. They have a good assortment of plumerias. They were NOT in bloom when I arrived but it looked like we were walking thru a Dr. Suess forest since they had recently been pruned. Their orchid, bromeliad and butterfly gardens are well designed. They exotic birds throughout the...

I don't understand where those with negative comments are coming from but they clearly do not understand the nature of this part of the country. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our visit here and absorbed the peace and beauty of the plants and the natural layout of the center. We took many photographs and lingered more than we usually...

We nearly left upon arrival, due to how the place looked OUTSIDE. But we had driven 45 minutes to get there. We should have followed our first instincts. No flowers but marigolds and some kale, which was the only "pretty" thing there. I was appalled at this place. I can't even believe they call it a botannical garden. I've been...
