Best pier to fish on around! $2 per pole and open all night. Our favorite place to take a cooler and go to town fishing. Dad even caught a 200lb shark off the end and had plenty of help to land it! More

I really enjoy going out to the beach with friends and the pier is a great place to do that. With a small fee you can feed the birds, fish, and look at beautiful scenery. The only part I do not like is the fact that a lot of "interesting" people tend to flock to this place because it is... More

Plenty of parking and picnic areas near the beach. On the day we went, it was really windy so we didn't stay that long. The major drawback we saw was that there were SO MANY seagulls. We were constantly watched by them as they hovered & flew around us. It was obvious that people feed them often. There should be... More

The pier itself was closed for renovations, but the surrounding beach was great. You don't have to pay to park here, and it is fairly clean and free of litter. Parking is also very near the beach. There are public picnic tables, elevated wooden lounge chairs, and sunning platforms. More

having read the guide book, we travelled from Corpus to the pier as it said this was where the locals hang out. yes the beach shows unspoilt coastline, there's good parking and toilet facitlities, but the pier ???? there's a restaurant on it from which you could smell the grease from the beach, and that's it. maybe i'm more commercialised... Always a great place to catch anything from sharks to redfish. Although, it can get crowded and there are many locals that come to fish here. Just keep a close eye on your kids here since it is a pier that goes out a good distance. More

Great place to fish, don't expect much from the restaurant. We had an adequate burger there, not a great drink selection. More
