There were too many locals jamming up space along the pier with lots of coolers and fishing gear, along with dead fish scattered about. The beach area was crowded and little messy...looks like a local hangout.

ALWAYS a bustling place to catch fish. Takes you out into the Gulf; usually get a fish. This place has been around for decades; and one of the places fishermen like to hit.

Just my opinion, but the best fishing here seems to be at nite. Plus it is a little cooler when you are going to be wheeling out an ice chest full of your adult beverages and snacks, a separate one for your bait (hate it when the beer tastes like fish), all of your fishing gear including a good light... Nice pier, you can buy bait and even rent fishing gear. We fished from the pier, but, alas, no luck :) The beach is nice, but crowded on the weekends. It's a very large park with the pier, a restaurant(we did not try it) and a long stretch of beach.

Ridiculous charge to just walk it - and really just jam packed with fishermen not very scenic! Wouldn't pay to walk it again!

The pier is open 24 hours for fishing and some of the best is found at night. I love to fish from the pier at night and avoid the heat and the sun during the worst of the summer. Don't forget to bring your bait and a comfortable chair. A great place for people watching and enjoying the view. If... More

We came to Bob Halls Pier after a friend had told us about it, it's not pricey and there is plenty of room for chairs and everyone to spread out. Our family enjoyed catching a variety of Gulf Of Mexico species. They have clean restrooms and also places you can shower off at for a $0.25.

The pier is long and gives you fishing out into the gulf. Has some limited food, etc. The $6.00 per person seems a little steep. We found other piers , not as long and on the Intercoastal for $2.00
