Lex is beautifully restored and maintained, and now has an elevator from the hangar deck up to the flight deck. wear your walkin shoes!!! nice staff... very friendly and ready with info! Like that it is manned by Vets !!!!! such a cool place to visit....If you've nver been on a vessel such as this.. its amazing to see how many layers there are in that thing!! Chamber of Commerce for Corpus has coupons!

Always interesting to read about the history of these vessels and the fact that they float still amazes me today. Nice pace, you own, to walk through the usual. Besides being 6 1/2 months pregnant and extremely HOT this place was a great experience ! My fiancé were here on vacation and went, it was a very neat to see ! Def recommend going.

As a local resident of Corpus Christi area, I have a membership to the USS Lexington. I have made many visits taking friends and family to the Lex and every time I visit I learn something new about the history of the ship or our military. the self guided tour is the greatest way to see the carrier, the planes are a site to sea :) to get a full enjoyment go when its a little cooler ,and then walk over to the aquarium. great day trip get away.

Definitely a worthwhile day spent at this magnificent example of naval power. Educational, interesting and fun. I would recommend the USS Lexington to anyone who has an interest in recent history, ships and planes.
