I visited the USS Lexington on my trip to Port Aransas. I love that the tours are broken down into different segments and that a person can spend as little or as much time on each exhibit, as the tours are self-guided. A guest is able to touch and experience most of the exhibits. A must-see if you are in... More

Plan a half day, lots to see and the movie is great. Our family goes once per year to visit. They have added some new things to see and do.

This was an incredible visit. When you go, not if you go, plan on taking LOTS of time. We had 4 hours and it wasn't enough. Prepare to climb lots of stairs. Parking on the streets was a pain, cause the meters maxed at 4 hours.

A worth while trip if you have 2-3 hours to read up on and step onto actual history. A self guided tour will give you an idea of life onboard the carrier and there are plenty of planes, artifacts, and other displays that will take up your time in reading them. If you are a history buff, this is a... More

Lots of walking and lots of wind - but well worth it. You'll walk past fascinating information about World War II and more as you tour the inside exhibits on this battle ship. All fascinating. When you're on the actual flight deck, though, every war movie you ever saw comes to life. It's just ....huge!!! And the fighter planes docked... More

It was better than we could ever have imagined! It was a self guided tour of the ship and included 15 planes up on the flight deck. We started up there, and saw a Phantom, Skyhawk and Hornet plane - just to name a few. You are able to access a vast amount of the ship, and we saw the... More

It completely ruined the look of our bay front. In my opinion it should have been placed in the ship channel

The Lex is great but once you've seen it, you've seen it. Lots of cool events are held there and they're great but just to go and take a tour? No so much.
