We visited the Lexington for the first time with our 10 year old and 4 year old. There are a lot of ladders on the tour through this aircraft carrier, and we were worried that our 4 year old would get tired and bored. However, she did great for several hours and seemed to enjoy all the climbing and exploring.... more

I went with my family in March of 07 and it was astounding. I'm not much of a war person but I found all the information so cool to read. There are so many things to touch and experience, including walking the decks and looking at the planes. We went late in the day so we had to leave before... more

If you are interested many different aspects of the past wars the USS Lexington has a ton to offer. Like other reviews it does get a bit warm, but I think it's worth going in and taking a look. Great place! more

I have a new respect for sailors after touring the USS Lexington. The ship is huge & the tour easily takes about 4 hours to see completely. Did I say that the ship is HUGE????? It's mind boggeling how big the Lexington is. Please take the time to see this amazing piece of US history while in Corpus Christi......... You... more

I was on a sister ship 50 years ago (USS Intrepid) Iwanted to show the wife and grandson whit I did aboard the Intrepid. (Catapults) There was no way we could get to the flight deck I was shown the steps, as the escalator did not work. Neither the wife or myself are able to climb that many steps. Very... more

I'll keep this short. This is a must do tour while in C.C. But be aware, you will be climbing alot of stairs that are very steep and entering compartments with low overhangs. The experiance was awesome as was the Fighter Pilot IMAX film. Go do it, you will not be dissapointed. Younger children (under 8) will have trouble with... more

Having been on two escorted tours of active aircraft carriers (Enterprise and JFKennedy) as well as a visit to the USS Intrepid in NYC, the visit to the USS Lex was absolutely the best and highly recommended. Despite the temperature hovering around 100o, the strong breeze keeps one from feeling the heat except when you are in confined spaces. Great... more

Take a self guided tour of this historic ship. You get to see all of the ship including the bridge, bunks, engine room, flight deck etc. Very educational and entertaining with a great view of the bay. Admission also includes an Imax film. more

The USS Lexington is easily the best ship tour I've experienced. We arrived early, spent about 7 hours aboard, and still didn't see everything there is to see. It would drive me nuts to follow a tour guide, and so I enjoyed the self guided aspect. We were able to take in all 5 tours and learned so much about... more

Toured the Lex 1/10/09. It was a decent experience. I stayed at a nearby hotel. Days Inn sucked. No hot water or heat. My key card didn't work. I was given a key that turned out to open many doors. The other hotels nearby looked worse from the outside. Like a year and a half ago I toured the USS... more
