I'll keep this short. This is a must do tour while in C.C. But be aware, you will be climbing alot of stairs that are very steep and entering compartments with low overhangs. The experiance was awesome as was the Fighter Pilot IMAX film. Go do it, you will not be dissapointed. Younger children (under 8) will have trouble with... more

Having been on two escorted tours of active aircraft carriers (Enterprise and JFKennedy) as well as a visit to the USS Intrepid in NYC, the visit to the USS Lex was absolutely the best and highly recommended. Despite the temperature hovering around 100o, the strong breeze keeps one from feeling the heat except when you are in confined spaces. Great... more

Take a self guided tour of this historic ship. You get to see all of the ship including the bridge, bunks, engine room, flight deck etc. Very educational and entertaining with a great view of the bay. Admission also includes an Imax film. more

The USS Lexington is easily the best ship tour I've experienced. We arrived early, spent about 7 hours aboard, and still didn't see everything there is to see. It would drive me nuts to follow a tour guide, and so I enjoyed the self guided aspect. We were able to take in all 5 tours and learned so much about... more

Toured the Lex 1/10/09. It was a decent experience. I stayed at a nearby hotel. Days Inn sucked. No hot water or heat. My key card didn't work. I was given a key that turned out to open many doors. The other hotels nearby looked worse from the outside. Like a year and a half ago I toured the USS... more

I've toured the USS Lexington in Corpus Christi a couple of times and have enjoyed this vessel both times. It will take one several hours to see and take in everything that this veteran of WWII has to offer. The flight deck has over a dozen various types of aircraft. There is a flight simulator and a MEGA theater on... more

One can easily spend several hours aboard the Lexington as there is so much to see and learn. Our tour guide, Ted, was excellent and well-informed and the donation is well worth the tour. All the tour guides we met were very educated and certainly knew their areas of expertise. We were so involved in the tour we missed the... more

My husband and I almost did not visit Lex when we were in Corpus because we had both toured battleships from the same era before and thought that it would be more of the same. Boy were we wrong! I am so glad that we did take the USS Lexington tour, because it was an excellent experience. This is an... more

We stopped by the USS Lexington and ended up staying most of the day. The exhibits were wonderful. Very educational for the kids without being boring. Could have stayed longer, but it was closing. I would highly recommend it. more

Stopped for a quick tour... and spend over three hours going to every deck open for visitors. Fascinating. One problem: the tickets include a movie that we had neither time nor desire to watch. more
