It was a valuable lesson and quality evening. The food was catered and very tasty. There were knowledgeable attendants providing pointers and insight to the ship, cargo and battles.

Wow!! We spent 4 hours here and could have spent at least a couple more. So much history, the volunteers are wonderful, we met a volunteer named Steve, he used to fly the F4 and spent about an hour with us, giving us his insight. What an experience.

Initially my husband was not interested in seeing this retired WWII aircraft carrier until I pointed out that it was a great opportunity to see what a carrier looked like and see how our navy hero's lived. He agreed and did not regret it. It is a self guided tour rich in history. At one point a volunteer appeared who... More

Very cool exhibit, I was so distracted by the opportunity to tour the Lexington I forgot a major factor....the challenge of narrow stairways with the toddler! Boat is very cool, very well set up museum. The toddler enjoyed it as well, my arms were killing me from helping him up and down the stairwells. When I let him walk, I... More

The Lexington is unexpectedly hands on, with many self guided tours into the ship, as well as on deck, with up to date (mostly) signage and exhibits. The place was packed when we arrived, but the massive ship takes lots of people without problem. We have been on many ships - this among the best interpretations we have encountered

Used my time between the close of business and early evening flight home to take in this incredible, floating museum. Well worth the admission price. Easy, self-guided tour. Lots to see and learn.

We travelled down for my wife's birthday and we did see something most amazing. The ship itself can be seen from the local motorway and it is a beauty to behold. The winding roads to the ship are kind of crazy but you bend the way to it. There are a few 'tat' ships and a few more places to... More
