I've actually been here four times. I attended a dinner/concert on the deck, brought my class to an Imax showing, I brought my grandson here, and later I brought him back with his mother and brother. The first time he was about 5; the next time he was 6 or 7 and his brother was about 9 or 10. He... More

This is an awesome sight and so many levels. Be prepared to walk and climb. Not really handicap friendly for all decks but worth the time to view it all.

Visited here because the husband is a history buff and loves touring these kind of things. We made it a day trip from San Antonio to Corpus Christi to see the USS Lexington. About a 2 hour drive, but definitely worth it. Cost of the museum includes five self guided tours, and a 3D video. We really enjoyed wandering the... More

If you like history this is a great place. I would suggest not July or August though. It gets pretty hot on some of the decks. There is usually a crew there restoring some of the old aircraft so definately try to check that out. The ship was also used for part of hte filming of Pearl Harbor so thats... More

This is avreally interesting and interactive tour of the ship. You have access to many of the areas on the ship. There is lots of walking so comfortable shoes are a must. It is also extremely hot in the summer months. Dress accordingly and drink water.

Historical ship that is reported to have paranormal activity. Very interesting! Make sure you don't rush through and read the story's posted about.

The USS Lexington is a great experience for all members of a family...young to old. It is rich with history. You can see how the seaman lived and where, first-hand. You are allowed on all decks of the ship. It is fascinating! I live here in Corpus Christi and have been on the Lex many times. Over the years, they... More

You see aircraft carriers in a movie but it is not the same as to experience first hand. While small compared to the newest ones it is huge. Hard to tell how big until you are actually on the ship. Plenty to see and once visited you will never look at a movie again about carriers the same way. Well... More

It is fun to walk around the carrier. There are lots of military airplanes to see on the top deck, and lots of good exhibits throughout the ship. If you are in town in February and if you like big band music of WWII era, to to the annual Stage Door Canteen Dance (usually on a Saturday night around Valentines... More
