It would take more than one visit to look at everything thoroughly because the Lexington is a museum of museums. However, we were able to go through all 5 self-guided tours in 4 hours or so, just stopping and reading at the points that interested us most. Be advised that there is a lot of climbing up very steep and... More

Entry was $15 which I thought was a little much but we went in because my boyfriend was really interested. There are lots of exhibits to see ( and often you could touch and take photos wirh them too) and much of the huge boat has been kept as it was to look round. You could also see lots of... More

I have been to the "lex" several times with kids or guests from out of town and we have always had a good time. Seeing an aircraft carrier of the WW 2 and Korean era is a good experience for all. Getting around for older folks can be hard since we are dealing with a ship built for young men

This was one heck of an experience. Absolutely amazing !!! As many other people have pointed out, you need a good 4-5 hours to cover all the 5 decks/sections. It is exhausting but enriching ; you'll need to wring yourselves through some narrow aisles & steep stairs, but in the end, it's every bit worth the effort. The ship is... More

We opted to take the golf cart ride up to the ship. Admission cost was discounted in my case as I am a Canadian Forces member. Learned about the history of the ship and its' connection to Texas. Seeing all the aircraft on and below deck as well as the living quarters for the sailors was eye opening. Being a... More

My husband and I were in Texas for our honeymoon and we visited the Lexington while we were there. We first noticed it at night when it was lit up so beautiful. We went back when they were open. My husband likes air carriers so this was very impressive for him. We got to see the planes on the take... More

The USS Lexington is a must visit attraction when in Corpus Christi. It provides a truly unique experience on board. Explore every area of the ship and see the crew quarters, engine room and more up close. Make sure to take comfortable shoes because you will do plenty of climbing stairs and walking. The deck has a great view!
