We always love touring The USS Lexington when in Corpus Christi. At night it looks really beautiful all lit up in blue lights. If you've ever been there you learn that it was called "The Blue Ghost" during the war. A definite "must do" when in Corpus.

While down in CC for work, we visited the Lex on one of our off days. We were there for about three hours, and I wish we would have had more time! It was incredible and extremely informative. I like history and museums and could have easily spent an entire day here. Other then this, I don't know why anyone... More

Great visit to this retired U.S. Navy aircraft carrier located in the Corpus Christi bay, Downtown. Very informative displays. You should allow ample time to fully view the entire ship. It is big with lots of levels. Nearly everything on the ship is available to view and explore. Well worth your time to give this ship a visit! Be sure... More

There is a ton here! We enjoyed the ship but by the end I was dragging my wife along. Plan lots of time to see everything and be aware that taking young kids along will be really tough. We brought our daughter along in a back mounted carrier that allowed her to see over my head. This became pretty rough... More

This was one of the neatest places to visit. Please make sure you schedule enough time to visit; I had 2 hours allotted and felt like I ran through the entire ship and did not get to read or learn about anything... just saw what there was to see. There were so many exhibits well worth the price of admission.... More

Very impressed with the USS LEXINGTON museum. They had individuals who gave short presentations of events that took place during WWII on various decks. The tour included the whole ship, all decks. Also, they have an IMAX theater. Many aircraft and exhibits through out the ship. If you are in Corpus Christi this is a must.

I absolutely LOVE this ship. Once again, self guided tour so you can take your time... exploring and pictures. So much to look at. I loved climbing around like a kid. Tons of information. They also have activities for the kids and adults. There is a food area to eat lunch / snacks. Yes, inside the ship. I would HIGHLY... More
