This will easily take up an entire day, and if you stop to read all of the exhibits on each of the tours will take you more than one day. The planes outside and in are an excellent source of history. If you have a chance grab a snack from the snack bar in the hangar, you won't regret it.

The USS Lexington is a WWII era aircraft carrier which saw major action in the Pacific theater, and then was used largely as the Navy's training carrier in the Gulf of Mexico until 1990. It still has many of the features and equipment from her later days of service -- computers in some of the working areas, etc. The ship... More

Great experience. Virtually full-access to the ship. We took the self-guided tour - it was easy to follow, but remember, this was built for WWII and has steep stairs and tight access points at times. DON'T LEAVE CORPUS WITHOUT DOING THIS.

Great time on USS Lexington - really get the feel of what it was like down below, must have been horrendous when at Battle Stations - hats off to all who served. Tricky getting up and down the stairs at times - but then I'm not a sailor

Other than that lots of things to see and even admire even more the men and women that kept, Keep and will keep us free to continue traveling and enjoying. I took my teenage children here to see this historical attraction. You can spend hours exploring this large World War II Aircraft Carrier. A historical film is shown in the ship's auditorium. The flight deck has many historical airplanes to see. There is a small snack bar and a gift shop on the ship. Located next to Corpus Christi Beach... More

WE got there nice and early. Waited a few minutes for them to open. We had full access to the top deck all by ourselves. We followed the map which was very easy to read. Around noon it started to get packed and we had done all 4 of the tours when it was time to go see the movie... More
