Only a few blocks from the USS Lexington. Beautiful aquarium-so much to see! Especially enjoyed the "touchable" exhibits and the dolphin show. Staff was knowledgeable, courteous, and helpful.

Have visited this aquarium several times over the years, and really don't see many of the improvements others have commented on. For the ticket price (adult $22.95 plus $5.00 parking), I'd expect to be able to see and hear the shows (get there early if you want a seat at the dolphin or bird shows). It's also annoying to have... More

Be prepared to spend the day! Great for kids and adults. Fun and educational. Bring the kids swim suits for the water feature, they will need it after the heat.

We stop at the Texas State Aquarium again after 5 years to take my daughter, the place has really expanded! They have shows scheduled every 1/2 hour, the splash area is awesome, the kids love it, the ticket price is a little high but looks like they are making good use of the income, there are areas still under construction,... The aquarium was a waste of money. The only thing that was of interest was the dolphin show. I have visited the Moody Gardens Aquarium in Galveston and it has way more to offer, so go there instead. When we arrived the front area outside was busy with an exercise group , so you could not hardly get to the... More

My favourite part is holding the Hermit crabs, it was so cool. They have cool jellyfish you can look at (I like the Moon jellyfish). Outside they have sections where you can touch Stingrays, and sharks, don't worry the barbs from the stingrays are cut off so they can't sting you, and the Sharks don't bite. Wonderful Dolphin show, and... More

We went on a Sunday and it was super busy. I'd like to see more shows/presentations. We had a good time. The alligator is huge. Both dolphins are awesome.

After taking a tour of the USS Lexington, we decided to go see the Texas State Aquarium. We were a little surprised that it was $50 per couple for admission, but we still thought it would be worth it. After seeing everything, we no longer think so. They had a couple of 15 minute animal shows that were pretty good,... More
