Don't go unless you like noisy, expensive restaurants with mediocre food and nothing interesting to do. It is quite a distance into DC, so not convenient for seeing the sights.

This area is great if you like to walk outside and enjoy the view of DC from a distance. If you stay there it is the idea place for a morning run or night walk. There are many shops, restaurants, hotels, and activities to choose from. There is always something going on weekend nights and most of the restaurants feature... More

Recently my two cousins and I visited National Harbor to ride the Capital Wheel. We decided to go after sun down to experience the night views. This particular ferris wheel is around 200 feet high so I was a little anxious, but after we boarded the climate controlled "gondolas" I felt very relaxed and really enjoyed the views. Lots of restaurants, carousel and playground for kids, Peep candy store, free movies and fireworks in the summer, water taxi service to old town alexandria...but my favorite thing is the Ferris wheel! I don't like heights, but never felt nervous. Great views of the monuments, air conditioned and soothing music. It was a fun ride. Oh, did I mention the... More

I attended a conference in the area. The confernec was a few days long. Saturday and Sunday were very active. families and couples enjoying the outdoor areas, restaurants and large screen tv showing the Washington Nationals baseball game. I spent a few hours enjoying the scenery and sites. There are some chairs lined up on a first come first serve... More

Went for convention. Area attractive if created as business convention destination. Some shops; plenty of restaurants. View lovely, good place to walk or run, especially with nice weather. Convenient to Reagan, not much further than Downtown. Challenge is bit isolated, especially if want to see historic DC. Close to Alexandria and Old Town

This newly developed area in MD near DC is worth a visit. There are many outlet shops to visit and restaurants to eat at. You can enjoy watching a sporting event on the humongous television screen located on the Harbor. And you have to take a ride on the largest ferris wheel I have ever been on, with great views... Incredible family place people watching Mecca A beach. Artificial turf for kids to play seats and places to wander. Piers to walk on and the best Ferris wheel I have ever experienced. Go after twilight

We go here often enough, and always have a good time. This time tried a new place to eat called the Crab Cake Cafe. It was delicious. You can eat inside or take it to go, and sit by the water or right outside on cafe tables to eat. I had the traditional, my friend had the one with spicy... More
