My wife and I stayed at the Gaylord National Resort & Convention Center for a convention, which is located in National Harbor. National Harbor is a 300-acre multi-use waterfront development on the shores of the Potomac River in Prince George's County, Maryland just south of Washington, D.C. near the Woodrow Wilson Bridge. Phase one of National Harbor opened on April... More

We stayed at the Wyndham at National Harbor on a vacation to Washington DC. It was a good base for trips into the city and the hotels offered free shuttles to the Metro station. There were plenty of activities and shops and restaurants for the times we weren't sightseeing.

We walked around at night, the whole area is very nice with the ferris wheel bright with red, blue and white. We could also see the firework in a distance. But the area is actually quite small, not a long boardwalk type of attraction.

Visited the National Harbor while in DC. We were there to watch the Cirque du Soleil, Amaluna and came back the next day to explore the harbor a little bit more. The place is small and easy to walk around but visually beautiful. Parking is affordable compared to the Metro DC area. There are great restaurants that are on the... More

The National Harbor is a new attraction which is still growing. It has a monster Farris wheel. Each basket is totally enclosed. From it you can see into DC. There are lots of places to eat and shops. The most unique shop is the Peeps store. Peeps are those yellow marshmellow candy baby chickens from Easter. The Peeps store has... More

This is a nice place to visit that is on the water and offers some shopping and restaurants to meet the taste buds of most people. There is a Ferris wheel, which has enclosed cars. Parking is close and relatively inexpensive. There is also a water taxi available that departs from Alexandria, VA.

National Harbor is a nice place by the water in close proximity to Washington DC. There is no metro access but some hard to navigate public transportation. Best to go there is by car, although there are some water taxi choices from Alexandria, VA which drops few more dollars from your bank account. Parking is great with many high rise... More

It is a good change of pace place to visit. The shopping, restaurants and hotels are in a mini inner-city type setting, located right on the Potomac River within sight of the Wilson Bridge and some of DC. It is convenient to walk around and just enjoy the scenery and people. My wife and I have been here several times.... More

The National Harbor experience is improving with time. There is now a surprisingly large selection of good restaurants there. With some of the attractions planned it will become more worthwhile to make the long drive there from the other side and inside of the beltway. Obviously, there is a very large population accessible to it now because it was very... More
