A Warm Reception for Sure!

Inside/next to Salt Palace Convention Center. Nice little gift shop as well. Can arrange for tours, restaurant reservations while you're there...

We attended a Girl Scout convention here. The facility was welcoming and impressive. The food choices were extensive. I would definitely like to attend another convention here.

Go here first and get your information. They even have internet computers to look up things. The staff is very helpful, especially George. We picked up the Truax schedule there as well. Beside it in the same building is a gift shop. We got some more maps and felt confident when we walked out. It's Ina fun part of town... More

It didn't look very big from the outside but was filled with many great items to purchase. There was an area that people could get information on the area to visit!

This is very close to Temple Square and surrounding attractions. Also the hop-on - hop-off bus leaves from here, which is a great way to start seeing the city. The staff at the visitors centre were very friendly and helpful and gave us some good advice.

Conveniently located downtown in the convention center, you can learn a bunch about what there is to do and see in Salt Lake City here. I found the souvenir selection to be lacking, however, and there were few other shops in the downtown area that had Salt Lake City memorabilia, souvenirs, shirts, etc.

My first morning in SLC I went to have some advices/suggestions. I give them 5 stars for their "personalized" advice. I landed with Bizonns in Antelope Island. So, first job next morning is to go to SLC Tourist Bureau.

Very large spacious venue for conventions. Roots Tech was a genealogy conference, one of the biggest, sponsored by the LDS Church, which as most may know, is really into genealogy per church teachings. Convenient to the Family History Library and City Creek Mall, which is an upscale mall.

The Bureau has an abundance of local tourist attraction information, has a wonderful store that has many local products (salt-related) that are perfect for those gifts for others. Employees are knowledgeable about the area so whether you are in SLC for skiing, tourism or genealogical research, you will be in good hands.

SLC has a very nice visitor's bureau. I've gone there several times to get information for friends who were going to visit. The convention center is very nice to and interesting to walk around in.
