Salt Lake City Convention and Visitors Bureau does an excellent job of helping tourists in the area. You can visit their place. Or as I often do visit their excellent web site for information. They do a very good job of providing tourists with a wealth of good information,.

I would suggest that visitors to Salt Lake start out by stopping in at the Salt Lake Visitors and Convention Bureau (SLVCB) in the Salt Palace Convention Center. (Do not confuse the SLVCB with the LDS Church Visitors’ Centers or the Salt Palace Convention Center with the LDS Church’s Conference Center.) This excellent source of information is located at 90... Have always made this a stop in my visits to Salt Lake. Great advice and great gift shop. Always find very special gifts for family and friends. Take the time to stop and ask!

First I wil start with just the Wasatch front, which inculdes downtown SLC and the mountains and Great Salt Lake. I moved here for work about 20 years ago from the Bay Area, CA. If I was taking friends on a tour, I would start off in downtown. I would take them to the Gateway center and the new Mormon... More

Glad we spoke to George. Wanting advice on where to go since the National Parks were closed. He understood exactly what we wanted: scenery, campgrounds, trails - that kind of stuff. Sent us to Capitol Reef - thank you George.

George helped us - and listened to what we were interested in - thus giving us great information rather than a "canned speech" of what to see in Salt Lake City. With limited time, it was great to have his help! Make this your first stop!

Like a visit to the Roman Collusem, without the hand-to-had fighting and bloody killings. (Oh, maybe not. I think they may play hockey there too!) And depending upon when you visit you can see almost any sport event, plays that rival Broadway, circuses, company rallies, etc. And just as in ancient Rome you share this all with thousands of other... We came into Salt lake City from the north, spent the night and planned to head out west. We stopped in the Visitors Bureau to get info on the best beach, so the kids could experience swimming in the salt lake. Although I told the rep we were headed west, he said the beach at Saltair was very rough with... More

The staff was amazingly helpful and the facilities were clean. The needs of our group were met, and we were able to experience the amazing city as we walked the peaceful streets from our nearby hotel to the Convention Center.
