As a traveling Catholic and skier, I have been to this Cathedral more than once. Most recently, I visited on a Saturday night. Granted, this particular Mass was in Spanish, but (memo to all Catholics who do not want to miss Mass) that still counts! The Saturday evening time really accommodated me when I had little choice, but to ski... More

Absolutely stunning artistry and architecture. The interior of the cathedral looks like a Spanish Gothic interpretation of the Beaux Arts style. Well worth stopping into, even if you're not Catholic. If you want to attend Mass, go to the 11 am service on Sunday - choristers from the Madeleine Choir School sing at this Mass and it is not to... More

This is a light, clean, lovely, intimidate cathedral. For those familiar with the large European edifices, this one is quite small by comparison but on the other hand has a lot of light that you don't see in a lot of churches. Nice for a quick visit or for a short concert.

Be sure to pay a visit to the Cathedral of the Madeliene especially if you're into architectures. It is beautiful! The Gothic-style interior is painted in different colors yet they all blend-in together very well indeed. And the rose windows, though not as ornate compared to older and bigger cathedrals, are still a sight to behold. One thing though that... More

When you're in downtown SLC be sure to walk over to the Cathedral of the Madeline. No matter what your religion, you'll enjoy the beautiful architecture of the building and gorgeous music of the Madeline Children's Choir.

If you ever get the chance, attend mass on a Sunday at 11:00 or Mon-Thursday at 5:15 during the school year. The Choir of the Cathedral of the Madeleine is comprised of 10- to 14-year-old students from the nearby Madeline Choir School, plus a smattering of high schoolers and adult men. Absolutely brilliant music. They give concerts throughout the school... More

Upon entering, your eyes immediately are directed upward. The interior buttressing is spectacular. The Stations of the Cross are works of art. The stained glass windows tell Biblical stories. It is a wonderful place to sit, reflect, and pray.

The Madeline is a beautiful Cathedral and rivals the Cathedrals in Europe. Stained glass is spectacular! The choir of the Madeline pure heaven.

We visited Park City in Feb. 2015 and drove into SLC on a non-skiing 60-degree day. This cathedral is absolutely beautiful. There isn't much around it so you have to really like old churches/cathedrals but I felt it was worth the visit.

As one other rater said, very European in style. Really beautiful architecture, stained glass and wood work.
