The Cathedral of the Madeline is a beautiful early 20th century Gothic/Romanesque mix and boasts a long history in SLC as the home of the Catholic Church and its diocese. In a city thought of predominantly for the Mormons, this church and its leadership has contributed to the religious make-up of SLC. The building itself is as well maintained as... More

The quiet majesty inside this cathedral is inspiring and calming. The stained glass, and the paintings and walls inside are inspiring and beautiful. I was so grateful that it was open, I lit a candle in the little sanctuary on the right hand side of the entrance (no candle area inside main cathedral)

Absolutely gorgeous place. I came for a choral concert in the afternoon and it was just sublime. Definitely worth seeing...and if you can, catching a live concert!

Very beautiful church with marvelous acoustics. It is a nice 10-minute walk from downtown. The church is located just outside the central downtown area. This would be about a 20-minute walk from the convention center or 15 minutes from Temple Square.

This is a must to visit. Very close to downtown. Its on a busy street so parking can be hard to find at times. But its a must to visit.
