Red Butte is one of my favorite places to go in SLC. It has great walking paths so you can see all the fantastic trees and plants. I go alone and also take my grand kids and always enjoy my visit. They have wonderful camps for kids during the summer and fun exhibits on display. If you are looking to... More

We had a few free hours and thought we would go check out the Garden. It is nice to be outdoors and walking around but I thought I would see a lot more native plants. Should be better in Spring time as they did have large gardens and looked like a large area for roses, flowering plants, herbs. Thought the... More

It was a wonderful evening in a natural amphitheater surrounded by gardens. Very nice! If you are going to an event, get there early for parking and be prepared to walk some.

If you are looking for things to do in Salt Lake City and have extra time the Gardens is a good choice. However, don't expect to find many native plants and it's possible to even view plants the County do not recommend planting due to it's ability to out compete native plants. It is nice to be outdoors and walk... More

Its a nice place. It belongs to the University of Utah and should be visited in the winter period because you will not find anything interesting there in that period.

What a disappointing garden, it should not be open to the public in November or it should have been free. It should stay closed until spring. The place looked badly neglected, all there was to look at was labels for next years plants, the rest was bare earth. No doubt it is lovely in the summer but it is very... More

Dear Warboys, Thank you for taking the time to review Red Butte Garden. We are sorry you didn't enjoy yourself as much as our other patrons have. Because it is November, there aren't a lot of flowers in full bloom right now, but the garden is alive with fall colors and textures. The walking paths through Herb Garden, Medicinal Garden,... I have visited the Gardens on numerous occassions. For weddings, for school field trips, and once during the winter for a college class assignment. I love the variety and display of natural and formal gardens. I am always surprised by the sense of space and the scale of these outdoor areas - I love to explore the various areas and... More
