We went here because we thouht we would have a nice time shopping and getting a bite to eat, there are some nice shops left, but there are also a lot of places vacant, the old trainstation is a nice spot for some photo's. We would not go back here.

Going to this local mall: it's a decent mall location with an over abundance of stupid activity and few stores.

Many many stores to visit and with it being and outdoors mall it was even better visiting on a beautiful day. Plenty of options with shopping and right next to stadium/trax station.

Cool place to visit, eclectic shopping experience. Old buildings made new. Lots of mid range shops, not like the new mall in downtown with it's upscale stores that cost you more. Big movie theater, good food to eat. Kinda nice to just walk through.

The heart of Salt Lake City. The gateway is a more family friendly environment and cheaper shopping than it's counterpart up the street. It has a fountain the kids can play in. Movie theater. Also, if you get the chance and are REAL hungry try out Tocanos. Great place to spend the day.

We visited the Gateway on a Sunday in SLC, as not many other things were open. Our first impression was it looked like a great outdoor shopping venue, but after walking a while with three young children we started to feel very uneasy. We were tailed several times into stores by men who seemed to be watching our daughters. Not... More

The place is overrun with homeless people which is quite disconcerting if shopping but what was really really unacceptable was in the major book store our granddaughters were targeted by a vagrant who was hiding behind bookshelves and clearly up to no good. The staff were aware of this man and were doing nothing. We left but if we hadn't... More

More chain stores but without the maintenance and polish of City Creek. There is some potential here but it seems they just don't have the right mix and energy. Walk through it once and find something else to do. The most interesting thing was the $1 taco cart on the sidewalk... seriously... the only thing with any character or local... More

The Gateway, in the heart of Salt Lake City, is a great place to take your family. Whether you are shopping, seeing a movie, looking for food, or visiting the Planetarium, The Gateway has it all. Don't miss the huge fountain at the North end, as it is a fun place for anyone looking to get wet in the heat... More

Gateway is a very nice, outdoor shopping center with many great stores and restaurants. But it also has a children's museum, movie theater, and a space museum. There seemed to be a lack of restrooms. The food court had plenty. But it took a while to find it. Parking was very convenient.
