....stopped by for a quick visit during our week in Utah....and was pleasantly surprised with layout and assortment of birds on display....we hit it late in the afternoon....with just 1-1/2 hours till closing....and still had time to see everything without rushing around....well worth the small admission charge.....great place to have fun with your digital camera....focusing thru the cages can be... Had nice selection of birds. Pretty area. Friendly staff. I think if they added more fun things to do there it would be better though.

After the construction was completed, I was convinced to go check it out on a free day they were having. It was almost like a really nice zoo, only with all birds. I would say it is worth a trip now :) My children and I had LOTS of fun, and it was really beautifully landscaped. We liked it so... More

I love being able to go here and see all the birds. This has just become a better attraction year after year. I remember when I was young it wasn't as nice as it is today. If you have time please go and see this it is a unique place and one of Utah's better attractions while in the city.

I did my best to enjoy it. My 5 year old niece was to impressed, one she seen the bird she moved right along to the next. So I didn't get to really read much about the birds but did go there because of her. She did enjoy it, but not the most exciting thing for a 5 year old.

I am born and raised in SLC and remembered going here as a kid and thought to go again. This is not the same place you remember from your childhood. I think every corner of the Aviary has been updated and they have done an excellent job. We went to the little indoor bird encounter show and it was great!... More

This is a great place for young children just learning about birds. Many benches and size of aviary made this nice for older folks who couldn't navigate a large area. We noticed many Grandparents with younger children having a good time. There was even playground equipment here, tables for picnics, etc. As an experienced birder, well, it was a disappointment.... This is a beautiful facility that gives one an opportunity to get very close to learn and appreciate some of our endangered species. Condors, eagles, hawks, vultures, and many kinds of owls among other birds are attentively housed and cared for in a small park like setting. Some of these birds could not be rehabilited and returned to the wild... More

We parked in liberty park and walked to the aviary. It's a beautiful park with many activities. The aviary was fun and educational. The layout is easy and well organized. Be sure to check the program for the shows they are entertaining. Our favorite was the parrots. Plan to pawn at least 1 1/2 to 2 hours. The price is... More

This attraction was the highlight of our trip to Salt Lake City. The Aviary is well built with birds grouped by their native region/type of bird. The grounds are well-manicured and very clean. Good information on each bird/area of habitation is provided. There are plentiful places for sitting and watching and picnics are allowed inside. There is no food for... More
