Beautiful little canyon close to the Capitol. We enjoyed the bubbling creek the whole way up. Odd days are open to cyclists and pedestrians, even days to vehicles. There are service vehicles on it all days. The beginning is rolling hills and it gets to a 9% grade in areas close to the top. Fun ride.

This is a beautiful and challenging paved bicycle/pedestrian trail. In the city, yet once you are on it, the countryside unfolds for you. It is easily accessible (watch the climbs getting up to it on a bike), and well worth it for the beauty and the quiet.

We only visited the city end of this park. It had super views of the Capitol & some very attractive memorials & a stream running through the park. You could go for miles from the far end of the formal part of the park.

City Creek Canyon is two parts - the lower area is Memory Grove dedicated to the memory of our fighting troops a beautiful park with memorials throughout. As you walk through the Grove you come to a dirt walking trail that goes through trees and is next to the creek. It is an off leash dog area, so our dog... More

For the last 25 years, I've lived within one-mile of the entrance to City Creek Canyon, and I've walked, run, and ridden a bike in the canyon many times. Its small, winding road takes you alongside a babbling stream and through wooded areas. It's very pretty and is a good place for exercising or having a picnic (there are a... More

We walked from the capitol building up the hill, starting in the war memorial garden. The garden is well maintained, more uphill it's a bit rougher terrain. Nice, relaxed atmosphere.

The tour guide from Salt Lake Bicycle Tours told us about the excellent and unusual qualities of the waters of City Creek and it's source. Ask to be taken to Gravity Hill, behind the Capitol Building. Very interesting!

Nice mall, smack in the middle of SLC, just a stone throw from the Salt Palace congress centre. Nice layout, lots of shops and places to eat.

A great small canyon for recreation right in the downtown area. half way up dogs are restricted because of the watershed area. 7miles paved with dirt trails on either side. The creek runs year round. Be careful in spring. High run off can be dangerous.
