Beautiful location for taking wedding photos and family photos. We have even been there when kayakers were paddling down city creek and ending up in the little lake at the bottom. Such a great place to meditate, hike, stroll, bike ride, picnic, or take photos.

City Creek is an oasis of quiet and natural space right next to downtown Salt Lake City. I highly recommend visiting here for a walk, run, or bike ride (check the schedule for which days are bicycle days...it's on an alternating schedule) if you're in town and want to get away from the noise and bustle for an hour or... I can't imagine what the person was thinking who gave this beautiful little canyon a 'terrible' rating. Boo Hoo. Just for that, I give it a 5. Truly, show me another city the size of Salt Lake that has a natural canyon (and small creek) just a short walk from its tall towers? I have loved walking, jogging and riding... More

City Creek Canyon is a short five minute drive from downtown SLC. It can also be accessed by walking through and up Memory Grove which is accessed from downtown near the Brigham Young park. At the top of the Memory Grove walking trail is the trail for City Creek Canyon. Bikers are allowed on alternate days, walkers everyday. Cars are... More

Such a great Canyon that is very close to the Salt Lake City Downtown Center. It is about 6 miles to the top and can be accesses by bike on odd numbered days and by foot on all other days. It is always cooler up the canyon in the summer and the Fall leaves are spectacular! You don't have to... More

Around 15 miles bike ride roundtrip, this canyon is beautiful, offers a not so hard ride and it's a great option for those short in time but who prefer an outside ride. For those who like to run hills is for sure a great option too as well as families that want to enjoy nature! Specially being in the city!

Wonderful spot. Shaded and relatively cool in summer. Higher up, the road is closed to cars and open to hikers and cyclists on odd0=-numbered days. Moose sightings are relatively common. Watch out, though, bikers often go way too fast down the hill.

City Creek Canyon offers a lot for anyone seeking the outdoors. Close to downtown and very convenient. Keep in mind that on certain days (even days) the canyon is open to cars and closed to bikes. When biking its a nice 5.8 mile climb with about 1500 of elevation.

Very nice canyon, great for working out as the road is closed to cars. I went for a run here every morning during my visit to SLC and loved it. You run up and then down the canyon with the relaxing sound of running water from the creek along the road. It's a great work-out and conveniently located to downtown... More
