Fascinating tour (I do recommend), also check out the Nauvoo Cafe, the entire building encapsulates old world stone-masonry, wood carving, gilding, craftsmanship not found in structures today stained-glass, marble, there are baby grand pianos on at least three different levels seem from the lobby (magnificent). It was so amazing I could not have been more impressed if I were to... More

Lobby is slightly interesting, what is left of the historic Hotel Utah but now featuring large statues of LDS figures. Nothing particularly special about the place. It is not a LDS Church office building and meeting space.

Set so you can see the lit temple grounds in the winter, this is a popular place for non-drinkers to host holiday parties. The food is nice, but do not expect to be given a wine list or Sangria with your brunch!

There are two restaurants but we only had time to go to the top to look out the observation areas and they were amazing, there are areas to sit if you are tired. This is a beautiful building that is having some exterior work done at the moment but take a quick step inside, the marble, dark wood, rich furniture.... More

It has a cool view at the top so you can see the SLC temple and take some pictures. Also there are two restaurants there, one is somewhat fancy, and the other one is at a good price for a meal overlooking Temple Square. It serves its purpose. Worth the visit.

This is such a beautiful building - restorations taking place at the time of our visit, but did not detract from the architecture. Inside the lobby area are huge pillars, sculptures, and decorated ceilings with beautiful chandeliers. Very helpful and friendly LDS staff and volunteers sharing history of the building.

We had the opportunity to eat on the top floor of the Joseph Smith Memorial Building and will admit that it was the finest dining we experienced in Salt Lake City. The food was excellent, every piece of fruit was perfect. The wait staff was friendly but non-intrusive and the view was unbeatable. Try it.

My wife and I wandered in and were soon greeted by a host/tour lady named Beverly who hooked us when she told us she could show us two amazing views of the city in a few minutes. She showed us the views and a whole lot more including how the roof of the top floor restaurant slides open and how... More
