wonderful building with lots of history

Be sure to go up to 'the roof' for dinner. Get a window seat overlooking the lights from the temple and the city. It's spectacular.

The building itself is beautiful and it's definitely worth it to visit. There are 3 restaurants in the building. The quick service restaurant on the first level is great for a quick and cheap meal. The Roof is expensive, and, in my opinion, highly overrated. The garden is nice for a cheap sit down meal with great views and service.

When traveling to the Salt Lake area, this is a great place to meet. Beautiful building with close, underground parking. Go up to 10th floor for an awesome view and two restaurants to choose from. Dine and get your parking for free for up to 3 hours. They give you a ticket to present to the parking attendant.

We visited The JSM building while viewing the lights at temple square. The building is beautiful! It was decorated for christmas which offered perfect backdrops for family photos.

The building is in the heart of all the bustle of temple square. The holidays find the beautiful old building full of holiday cheer and a destination for those visiting to see the Christmas lights. They have free religious movies, hot chocolate to warm the soul and a family history library. Nice venue for weddings, but the food is just... More

Not sure why you would visit this bldg. if you didn't have a function here like going to a wedding or watching one of the movies or what-not, but in any event this used to be the historic Hotel Utah and has a unique exterior as well as lobby/mezzanine. Very pretty and often used for wedding photos and engagement photos... More

We spent time here when we went to the see the Christmas lights on Temple Square. This is a beautifully restored building that used to be the Hotel Utah. Beautiful lobby decorated for Christmas and live music when we visited. They had free films, a Family Search Discovery Center, Observation area overlooking Temple Square, Several food and restaurant options and... More

Presidents, heads of state, visitors from around the world stayed at this Historic Western Hotel in its heyday. If one was traveling the Union Pacific railways up to the late seventies or crossing the country by car, one might stay at least a night at the Hotel Utah to enjoy the city and visit Temple Square before continuing on ones'...
