Beautiful Faux marble columned lobby. A lot of work went into the artful columns. A lovely and quiet place to sit and reflect for a few minutes. At the top of the building a restaurant. Held a wedding reception up there and it was quite an event. wonder views of the city and well catered.

This building is the old Hotel Utah that has been restored and is now being used as part of Temple Square. The lobby is very classy and reflective of the turn of the century styling. The building houses the Family History Library and there is also a movie produced by the LDS church which is shown in the building. There... More

The architecture, design and furnishings are excellent. A volunteer staff is always there to greet you and answer questions and give directions. The ambiance is outstanding. We love Nauvoo Café for its fresh sandwiches and especially turkey pot pies. Yum! Recommended.

My former father-in-law worked at the Hotel Utah for years prior to it becoming the memorial building. So visiting this building brought back many fond memories of Dad talking about working there. Another gorgeous building!!

Nice Place. If you're wandering around down town salt lake and are tired of the hustle and bustle, you want a comfortable chair to sink down into away from the heat outside, this is a great place to visit. They have a restaurant on the main floor, but if you want something cool, go up to the top floor and... More

This is a good place to visit. This is the former Hotel Utah. There is enough history here to pique your interest. This historical site, has been well preserved. There are guided tours available for the asking. When you visit, make sure you leave enough time to see the movie "Meet The Mormons". This is a powerful movie (bring tissues),... More

Love how this was once a hotel for all to come to temple square. Presidents up to Nixon got to see it as a hotel. Loved the view and the peacock carpet.

Great views of Salt Lake City from the upper floors. There is also a great view of the LDS temple. It is worth the effort.

A must stop to see the lobby and mezzanine area. It has been beautifully restore to the early 1900's. Things are original from then. The view of the temple was wonderful from the 10th floor.

This use to be one of the first hotels constructed and the Church of Jesus Christ of Later Saints bought it and it's dedicated to Joseph Smith. It's original and you can get a bite there at the cafe downstairs or go upstairs to the top and enjoy two additional restaurants with beautiful views.
