Really amazing place. The view from the top is ammmazzzing! Very welcoming guides. Had to laugh 'we have the original 100year old chairs - very nice but the chair in my bedroom at home is around 200 lol. Well worth a visit

The building is beautifully restored. The small lunch place on the main floor has some of the best sandwiches you will ever eat! The LDS movie is great and the view from the top floor is amazing! If you want to splurge, eat at one of the restaurants at the top.

The ceiling is jaw-dropping gorgeous! Building is fun to walk through and to explore all of the fancy restored rooms. There is a chapel inside! The Garden Room restaurant at the top, where you can look out and see the city and temple from above,is yummy with great service.

Interior of the building is very interesting. You can also get to the top floor. View from there is nice but nowhere near places like NYC or Las Vegas.

This building has been beautifully preserved and repurposed to keep an active and contributing building in the center city. One can sit in the lobby and enjoy the quiet ambiance will taking in the art and architecture. There is a cafe on the first floor where you can grab an inexpensive but very good breakfast or lunch. Part of the... More

These types of historical buildings are awe inspiring. It houses a family history center where you can check on your genealogy, or visit the Nauvoo cafe for a bite to eat. At one time it was called the Hotel Utah and now it is center for Familysearch.org one of the biggest genealogical websites.

My cousin and his wife had their wedding reception here, and it was one of the nicest I've ever attended. The view from the top floors is breathtaking, and the staff is very good.

It's great that a classic structure can be maintained (in stylized fashion) after its original purpose was deemed outmoded. However: 1. It's sad (and likely inappropriate in an urban cultural context) that the decision to discontinue all hotel operations was made. Almost certainly, the hotel operations could have been reconfigured with great success. For example, re-adjusting the building to retain... More
