We had a couple of hours to kill in Salt Lake city and walked around Temple Square. In itself pretty amazing, but if you go there take a few mins to walk through the Joseph Smith Memorial Bldg. It is the old Utah Hotel and worth taking a tour of just to see the beautiful chandeliers and stained glass! There... more

I would recommend this "attraction" highly for people who want to be harrassed by missionaries about the Mormon church. Because, apparently, that is the sole purpose of marketing this building to tourists. I innocently thought that the genealogy center was a resource I could use to research my ancestors. I was wrong-- the price to pay for using these computers... more

This building is beautiful! A must see stop for great views from the top floor, fine dining, and religious movies for free to the public. more

Wow! We loved visiting the Joseph smith memorial building, even my two teenage girls were impressed. (It can be hard to impress a 14 year old and a 16 year old. Saw "One fold and one shepherd" 3 times in two days. Would like to know more about the making of that movie. more
