As Part of One's Visit to Salt Lake City

As one of the architectural building to see during one's visit is the Gallivan Center. Seemed to be seated in central city, the view of it from the light rail is aesthetic.

This place kind of reminds me of the Leonardo (former SLC downtown library location) in that it is a contrived and artificial place where the city tries to host different community events. It has a nice lawn and in the summer there are table tennis tables out and such, but it is sort of like that rich friend you visit... More

I had a daughter out of the country for over a year and she said that the first thing that she wanted to do was go skating here...and we did. So so fun.

Part of a walking tour during a business break. They say in summer lots of activity there, Fall not so much. Lots of modern design, restaurants near by.

Coming from France it is my first time in Utah, first time in Salt Lake City and what a delight it was to discover this outdoor concert and dance floor (that was recommended to me by locals). Great music, with 70's disco songs, jazz and rock songs as well as recent pop songs. Great artists, the singers had really nice... More

Korean cup bop That's all there is to say! If you haven't gone on Thursdays and tried the local food trucks you are missing a great treat!

I used to work Downtown Salt Lake City and there was always something going on at the Gallivan Center! There have been food fairs, concerts, and ice skating in the winter. It is very pretty when flowers are in bloom and the architecture is neat. You can hop right of the TRAX train so you don't worry about parking if... More

We enjoyed listening to the music at Gavillan Utah Center at the special event called Salt Lake City Tastemasters event. The food was also good. There are various events held here. There is also nice sitting areas, plants, and walking areas. There is also a unique fountain area. In the winter there is an ice rink. Since we were staying... More

Headed downtown to look for lunch this Thursday and stiles across this little hidden gem. Tucked down the side streets on Thursdays they allow the food trucks to converge , giving foodies another treat to indulge themselves in. Looking forward to next Thursday !

I spent a fun, early afternoon trip to skate at the Valda E. Tarbet skating rink at the Gallivan Center. One of the attendants, Rebecca, was quite helpful in making sure that I had what I needed to make my skating experience as fun as possible. She told me when they needed to clean off the snow from the ice... More
