I went to the zoo about five years ago, and it was okay. I was very excited to take my babies to the zoo (2 years and 8 months) because I was sure they'd have more animals and it would be awesome. If you need to spend some time in SLC with your kids, the zoo is a good option. It is not a great zoo, but very well organized and clean. I recommend it if you have kids. more

The zoo has cut back on the kiddie stuff from a while back (no petting zoo, tree house slides etc.) but most of the stuff has actually improved. I went to the Zoo on June 2, 2002 and was very disatisfied with it there was construction right next to the food court and there was dust flying into our food! and there where not many Animals out in too see and they didnt look good at all. more
