This location gets better and better each year. It has grown over the years to be worth what you spend. The location has more animals and more friendly exhibits for the animals since this has been a concern in the past. It has opened up more for the little ones to see better. Before it wasn't as kid friendly as... More

The Dinosaurs this summer are really great! I know that's not the main reason to go see the zoo, but if you're on the edge, it's enough to get you there. The relatively new African Savanna exhibit is really impressive. The giraffes, zebras and ostriches are pretty neat. The bear exhibit is really good. The polar bear often comes up... More

Hogle Zoo is amazing. This zoo gives you a chance to get up close with some incredible animals. I love the polar bear encounter. This is a great place for the whole family. They also take great care of the animals and promote conservation as well as education about wild animal populations.

Ok, first off, I have been to some of the country's biggest zoos so I have high expectations. That being said, this is a very small zoo, but they really put a lot of heart into what they do. I thought it was just incredible that they have employees all over asking if you have questions and who are eager... More

We're members of the zoo and have been several times, our most recent being April of 2015. The zoo is quite nice, plenty of animals but nothing spectacular. The kids like going there and seeing everything and riding the train & carousel. The issues kind of start there... The train is not cheap but is a very short ride. Parking... More

Hello Philibuster - thank you for your trip Advisor review. Our train reopened last spring and the ride is twice as long as before the construction. We also did not raise the rates upon reopening. The ride is a good 5 minutes for $2. We've also worked hard to correct the parking issue. We have a brand new parking lot... More

I will start by saying that I grew up near the Omaha Zoo, so nothing compares to that. This zoo is very small in my opinion, as it only took about an hour to see all the exhibits. Most of the exhibits were good for the animals, but i wasn't impressed with one of the elephant enclosures. It was just... More

Hello Kyle - Thank you for taking the time to send feedback via Trip Advisor. We are, technically, a mid-size zoo at 42 acres. You only saw the small working-yard for our elephants. That's where our keepers do training sessions. On the other side of the African lodge is a large area with shade trees, watering/swimming hole and plenty of... More

I love the Asian cat exhibit as it is so easy to see the cats in this more natural habitat. Truly it is worth taking the time to see this whole zoo! Make a day of it and bring some friends, especially children. Catch the bird show if you can!

We went to the Hogle Zoo on Saturday morning, 4/18/2015. There were five adults and two children...ages 3 and 4. It was a perfect day for a trip to the zoo. They aren't too big, but big enough. The kids loved it!!

Visiting Utah and my grandkids. Decided to go to the zoo. Went on a 64 degree Sunday afternoon, perfect weather I would think for Humans and animals. First time to this zoo, and its rather small and most animals were not visible. Bummed that almost every water fountain did not work. Grand kids ( aged 7 & 8) did have... More

Season passes are worth it. Bring family and friends for free along with the season pass. You get VIP entrance to special events such as boo zoo. Great small zoo that can easily be a short 2 to 4 hour visit. They have most of the animals you'd want to see, bring your own food to save some money, and... More
