Once the site of Utah Territorial Prison, this park is a lot more pleasant today, with a gently rolling landscape great for running.

I grew up in the Sugarhouse area and can tell you first-hand that the park is not what it used to be (locals taking their families there by walking or biking). I live within a mile of the park and avoid going there with my kids because it seems to be constantly dirty, broken down, and over-run with people. I'd... More

Sugarhouse Park is a place to walk, jog, sled, play baseball, frisbee, or just watch the ducks. It has several small hills throughout and around the park, making it more of an interesting walk, as well as the ability to go tubing in the winter down the small hills. My favorite time of year at this park, is springtime. One... More

Peaceful park with shops across the street. Great for family picnic, company party, and watching the fireworks. Getting out during events can take an hour but that is expected.

Love taking the kids here. Go to the playground in the East end and avoid the other park with metal slides that get extremely hot in the summer sun.

Play on the slides, go for a walk or feed the ducks. A fun family place for a picnic with friends. Grab lunch or dinner from The Dodo North of the park for a gourmet play date and let the kiddos eat PB&J.

A gem of a park within Sugar House. Pedestrian lane for walking, watch the ducks and geese on the pond, play frisbee in the open space. After, wander over to Sugar House and enjoy one of the local restaurants.

This is in a very shady area if Salt Lake City, but it is a fun park! It has a steep hill which is perfect for kids! In the summer, we ice block down, and in the winter we sled down! So fun!

Cross Country State Course The XC (cross country) State course is easily the one of the most challenging courses that any high school runner will run on. However it is also one of the most fun. It is just one of those things that right after you do it you never want to again, but after a few minutes you... More

Sugarhouse is a beautiful park with a lake and stunning views of the snow capped mountain peaks surrounding SLC. The paved road winding through the park includes a number of hills, making for a good work-out. The park is great for running or walking or biking, with lovely scenery to enjoy along the way.
