Scenery was breathtakingly beautiful and LOVED all the wild flowers. Nice hiking and gift shop too. Make sure you wear shoes with good tread and bring water if you plan on hiking the trails. Some of the lower sections of trails were paved, but the upper ones were not. There were a few small black flies that were annoying, but... More

Olympic National Park - Hurricane Ridge so beautiful..never seen such a fantastic view. Like Grand Canyon, Zion, Brice(?), she gave me inspriation of nature, earth my planet. Go and look..I recommend to go around spring or before summer. I visited there June-July..so great.

We loved hiking through this forest, with all the old growth and old, old trees. Lots of interesting things to discover if you love nature! Great opportunity to take some fabulous pictures!

A trip here first on your way to Hurricane Ridge is a must. They can tell you what to do, how long things take, weather (check out the cam for Hurricane ridge, although it was cloudy when we arrived on the ridge is we beautifully sunny (above the clouds). Ron our ranger was really friendly & helpful.

The Olympic National Park Visitors Center is nice, but head to the one on Hurricane Ridge. The latter has more selection of merchandise, an eatery, and great bathrooms. That said, there are nice exhibits on the geography of Olympic in at the Olympic Visitors Center.

Me sure you get a few maps, you will need them for the whole trip. Gift shop is worth to give a shot.

We stopped here before heading out to explore the park. I found it very helpful to come here. There are maps you can take (which are very good) and there was a movie that you could watch, as well as a little bookstore/gift shop!

The staff we encountered at the four or five different stations we visited were knowledgable, helpful, and friendly. The paths were well maintained, rules were clearly posted, and maps and other materials were useful. Overall a great visit! I just wish we had more time to explore.

Since national parks are restrictive regarding dogs, there are two trails here at the visitor's center that are great for walking and taking your dogs. Get an early start into the park.
