We left Port Angeles to go to Victoria on July 30. In order to have a smooth experience, we made a reservation online for us and our vehicle a week in advance and paid the reservation fee. When we got to the ferry, we were told to just wait in line as there was no fast line for passengers with... More

I left my car in a lot just a block away for only $6 a day - which is a great deal - and then walked onto the ferry for a weekend in Victoria. The ferry is easy, quick, and inexpensive at just $35 round trip, getting you there in just 90 minutes. They have great customer service as well... More

Definitely a reservation is a good idea. They are friendly and efficient. We had a smooth trip and easy time through customs.

Black Ball Ferry is a reliable, quick way to get to Victoria, BC. Be sure to make an on-line reservation. The ferries fill up quickly, especially if you are taking your vehicle. On the US side you need to be in line 1 hour before departure. On the BC side, 90 minutes before departure. Be on time to line up.... More

We left our car at our hotel in Port Angeles and walked on the ferry. Very pleasant and scenic trip across the Straits for a delightful day in Victoria, B.C. We would definitely recommend this trip.

It is convenient to both downtown areas for walking passengers. Love being able to get duty free on board

Walk on's need to be there 20 minutes before departure, with your passport to visit Canada. They move alot of people and vehicles in a short amount of time. Food and beverage prices on the ship were not as inflated as you might expect for a captive group. We enjoyed a glass of decent wine for only $5 a glass.... More

I gave the Black Ball ferry line 4 stars because they have fulfilled a need and do it well. The Coho ferry is not upscale or luxurious by any stretch of the imagination, but if does offer a decently clean, safe, and comfortable 90-minute voyage across the Strait of Juan de Fuca between Port Angeles and Victoria, B.C . There... More

With reservation ahead of time we spent little time waiting and everything was very well executed - on time, with comfort.

The review from July 17th 2012 is exactly our experience for July 23, 2014. Good to know they acted to improve things….NOT. The cars were packed so tight people were squeezing out the best they could, crawling out of back doors. I can't imagine how an obese person would ever get out of their car….and what if there is a...
