Very pleasant ferry ride to Victoria with very nice staff. The views are spectacular and the ferry drops you off right in the middle of Victoria so it was an easy walk to our hotel.

The ride between Port Angeles USA and Victoria BC is a fun and scenic way to take a trip to a foreign country. Less than two hours but gives you time to plan your day with helpful maps and brochures on board. Food and drink available including beer and wine. The ride can be as smooth as glass or a... More

Not much to add. I arrived on time, the boat left on time. Got to Victoria on time & to beat it all customs went pretty quick. The ride got a little choppy in the middle, but other than that it was a enjoyable. The day we went our visibility was poor so we just read our books. I would... More

Taking the old, but charming Black Ball Ferry out of Port Angeles on the Olympic Peninsula is the ideal manner to cross the Straits and reach Canada. Walking on to the first ferry departing at 8:30 am has always been our preferred method and after spending five hours in beautiful Victoria, hop back on the afternoon ferry and get back... More

Expected delays in loading as it was a busy week end. Everything went good. The menu was good and pricing reasonable.

A old ferry which certainly needs some major refurbishment. We do not understand why it takes 1.5 hours for 18 miles distance. With this kind of ferryand the price level they charge I would be surprised if they will not be out of business very soon.

We enjoyed our trip on the Black Ball Ferry. Was our first trip so did not have anything to compare it to. We had no problems. Everything went smoothly and the fellows were good at getting us off and on in a timely manner.

We went from Victoria to Port Angeles and when our battery failed us they quickly jumped the vehicle so we would not miss the ferry and have to wait for the next one. It was a great trip

Ticket office is about a block walk from the ferry boarding entrance, so it's a little confusing knowing where to go. We boarded with a car on the Canadian side, so we had to go through customs, which was a pretty efficient operation. The boat has better than average food offerings at a decent price, and a little ship's store... More
