we went from Victoria, BC to Port Angeles, WA. It was a well run no nonsense operation with a clean ferry, nice seating choices, and views that cannot be beat! The food was above expectations, I had a very nice salad with turkey, egg, cheese and carrots.

The Black Ball leaves next door to the Hotel we stayed at and that was convenient. The Black Ball is a great, reliable transport from the Seattle area if you have a car.

Always like the MV COHO! They maintain it very well and it runs exactly on time! Can't think of much more to say but the review must be 100 characters long and I'm out of words.. (stupid rule!)

We never have done this with our boys. Oh my they had such a great time. I am so glad that we did this. Every one was so helpful from setting up our trip to boarding. This is a must trip again for us. Thank you. The seats at the front of the boat were great as my sons just... More

A terrific and convenient service - I was amazed how precise the departure and arrivals times were. Smooth sailing despite the windy weather.

My wife and I accepted the Black Ball Ferry Line's suggestion to leave the car behind and get on the ferry as walk on passengers. That decision alone saved us $124. The ferry ride was smooth and comfortable. There was ample seating and the seats were padded and comfortable. The only downside to this trip was the limited time in... More

When you travel on your birthday, Black Ball rewards you with a complimentary round trip, beginning on the actual day. You can stay in Canada as long as you want, but travel must begin on the birthday. We like to take our birthday advantages to visit Victoria, B.C. for a couple nights every year. The ferry, launched in 1959, is... More

First time traveling from Victoria on the Black Ball Ferry... very efficient and easy. Wish we didn't have to line up so early but understandable for customs/immigration. Food on the ferry wasn't great!

Very fast check in, well organized. Clean and comfortable, fun ride. Great price too. Much better alternative to the Victoria clipper, 90 minute ride, and option to bring a car!
