The Black Ball Ferry between Port Angeles and Victoria BC is the best way to visit the other side for a day, a weekend or longer. The trip is easy, short and it arrives right in the middle of the tourist area of Victoria. Other ferries arrive way out of the middle of the action. One can take his car... More

Professional staff, on time departures, clean facilities. Open decks to walk and enjoy the scenery and sea-life.

The Coho ferry is efficient, pleasant, and comfortable. Exactly what you want out of a transportation service. Easy and cheap way into Victoria from the Olympic Peninsula. We went on New Years Eve and there was still plenty of seating and many wonderful viewing platforms. A+

This is, by far, my favorite way to get to Victoria, BC. It's cheap and drops you off at the center of the inner harbor. You can easily, conveniently, and safely park your car and hang out in downtown Victoria. The ferry service is very nice too. Good seats and service. The snack bar is reasonably priced as well. I... We have taken the Black Ball Ferry several times. This is the fastest crossing to Victoria, BC, from the USA. We have travelled both by car and as walk-ons, and the easiest (and cheapest) is as a walk-on. You can park you car safely in Port Angeles, WA, and everything you'll want to see is within easy walking distance once... More

Took the car to Victoria but wish I had skipped it. It was about $160 round trip...versus about $60 for passenger only. You must be at the terminal 1/2 hr. early in Port Angeles BUT 1.5 hrs. early in Victoria as they do the immigration and customs stuff for the US. Don't plan on gourmet food on this ferry. Seats... We have been using Black Ball for years going to Victoria BC. Have traveled in bringing on our car when we are exploring the Island or just walk on when we are only visiting Victoria. It has been a few years since we have been on the ferry but we have always found the staff to be nice and the... More

The ferry was a fabulous way to get to Victoria, B.C. To those who may wonder about getting sea sick, take a motion sickness tablet as directed before boarding and you should be fine. You can also check with locals on tide and use that as your guide to calmer ride. The trip was fantastic. A must do. There is... More

We took our car on the ferry to Victoria BC. Our trip was a real pleasure. It was very organized, efficient and right on schedule. The employees of Red Ball were all friendly and helpful. We got a package deal that included 3 nights at a hotel in Victoria and transporting our car that was less expensive than a similar... More

The boat is well taken care of and has an excellent crew. We had some problems and had return and they held the boat and let us back on. Sean the Purser was kind enough to help us out on a reduced fare. He was very nice and made the ride back a little easier.
