We took the ferry to Victoria as walk on passengers and did not miss our car in Canada. Black Ball Ferry has the processing of passengers down to a science. It was so well organized and efficient. The seats are showing wear and tear, but they are comfortable. It was a pleasant ride to and from Canada.

Great fast ferry to Victoria, good value and an easy crossing. They even have a gift shop with some really good books about Vancouver Island. OF course I didn't buy any but made notes of them to check out later.

Being on motor bikes, we are first on, and first off. The crew were helpful in assisting with the stabilizers to secure the bikes. The sailing was smooth, with ample roaming room on the ship. You must clear customs before boarding, so getting to the terminal early is impressive, as is a reservation.

A wonderful 90 minute ride to Victoria. Very spacious ferry with decent cafeteria if you are hungry. The ferries run on time and provide information on board regarding Victoria, or Port Angeles on the return trip.

Living on an island, one becomes a jaded connoisseur of ways to get off the island... choose which ferry you take based on convenience and destination... they all are pretty much boats.

I couldn't believe how inexpensive the trip to Victoria is. The ferry is clean and the staff friendly. I would recommend bringing food aboard however as the food served by the deli was less than fresh and overpriced. If you are going to eat - I'd recommend the Clam Chowder - it was kept warm. The chicken strips and fries... More

This is a popular crossing travelling from Victoria (Vancouver Island, Canada) to friendly Port Angeles. USA. Due to it's international route, reservations are a must & there is a protocol you must adhere to when being processed by border guards. Wait in your vehicle & you will be instructed on when & where you must present your passports. We had... More

Ferry trips can be less than agreeable, not so with the Coho Ferry out of Port Angeles. We were going to Victoria and let me say that my spouse walks with a cane so getting around can be a challenge. We made our reservations online (you MUST get a reservation in the summer months). We arrived at the ferry about... More
