We've taken the ferry many times while vacationing. The ferry has always been on time (or very close to it) and it's a comfortable way to get across the water. There is indoor seating as well as outdoor seating. There is a small gift shop and area to buy food on the stern. It's an old ship but still very... More

Great ride and beautiful scenic views. Lots to see and great service. Bring a hat if it is sunny and sunglasses. Get there early at least 30 to 45 minutes before it departs to buy your ticket early.

The ferry is fairly old, but perfectly comfortable for the journey to / from Victoria. Very reasonably priced for foot passengers. Its possible to have a very full day in Victoria by catching the first feryy out of Victoria and the last one back.

and then tour Victoria harbor, eat at local restaurants or check out the local fairs on the wharf. Once in line you can leave and need to be back 90 minutes before sailing.

It was my first time on a ferry with my car. It was easy to board and a pleasant ride to Victoria from Port Angeles. Ate at an local restaurant next door in Port Angeles that had very good fish and chips. Arrived in Victoria on block from my hotel.

We took the Coho Ferry from Port Angeles WA to Victoria BC and we were very pleased with the service, comfort, staff, and all things associated with the experience. The check-in process was smooth, there was free WiFi at the terminal and we found the staff especially helpful. I look forward to another opportunity to travel with Black Ball Ferry... More

Black Ball has a great history, and this ferry, despite its more than 50 years of being in service, is still a classy way to go between Port Angeles, WA and Victoria, BC, Canada. Staff are very pleasant and are very willing to answer any questions their passengers have.

We had a very smooth crossing of the Strait, from Port Angeles to Victoria, and we were very impressed to be told that the ship has been providing reliable services since 1959.

This ferry left right on time. The staff where very good. You can get coffee, drinks and food on board, but it is better to plan ahead and take your own sandwiches as if can be fast food garbage and expensive food on board. Though it is clean...

Ferry service is excellent, well-organized and makes it easy to get to Victoria. Water was a bit rough, needed dramamine. Highly recommend!
