Used this ship to travel from Port Angeles to Victoria. Very, very convenient with very friendly people. The ship was very nice and clean. You won't believe that the ship is as old as it is. Additionally it drops you off in the most desirable location in Downtown Victoria. A very quick and worthwhile trip! An exceptional value and experience!... More

Nice ride, right on schedule, easy walk from Quality Inn (if you can do stairs), custom lines went smoothly/quickly. Easy to follow directions. Actually, the categories for the visit aren't adequate. I went with 2 adult family members for pleasure.

We sail on the Coho from Victoria to Port Angeles several times a year. This car ferry loads efficiently and sails on time, weather permitting. Even on a windy day, the captain steers the vessel to reduce the effect of the chop. We could leave the Island via Swartz Bay or Nanaimo. The hours are more varied and the crossing... More

Because I could purchase Victoria attraction tickets in U.S. dollars on board, we saved $ and time by getting Royal BC Museum admission while sailing from Port Angeles. Another travel tip is to check with your Port Angeles hotel about ferry parking. We stayed at the Olympic Lodge and they provided a free dashboard parking pass to their lot near... More

Made the crossing to Victoria and back. Smooth casual boat ride. Everything was clean and efficient. Easy in and out through customs.

Nice, comfortable crossing from Victoria to Port Angeles on a clean ship. It was very convenient to pass through US customs on the Canadian side. Helpful employees when planning a trip.

We have taken this ferry 4 times while on vacation and it is great. It's very easy to board and the procedure is well orchestrated. I love walking outside while we're sailing as the scenery is spectacular.

I thought that using the automobile ferry could be a hassle but Black Ball gets it right. Both Customs/Border Patrol stations were also very efficient. Entering and exiting the ferry was extremely efficient. Very happy.

It was smooth sailing. The water was like glass. We had a good day to cross over to the states. Very well organized and everything was on time.

As it's the only way across the water you don't have much choice. Fortunately it's a well kept up ship and the process of boarding and disembarkation was pretty flawless. It was very nice to have booking services on board which made our trip to Butchart Gardens very easy. The galley was okay, nice to have a beer available for... More
