I was one the few visitors to the Georgia Sports Hall of Fame on a Friday morning. The Hall of Fame acknowledges excellence in many Georgia sports at all levels--from youth sports to professional. Exhibits were primarily photos and sports-related objects behind plexiglass but also included two race cars. Many of the exhibits had clearly not been updated in a... More

You will be amazed how many items and people you will recognize that are in the GA Sports Hall of Fame. Very interactive, hands on exhibits that kids will love on a rainy day or a really hot one. Try a field goal, shoot some hoops, or take a NASCAR demo around the track. Fun and enjoyable. Worth the small... More

I am not big into sports as a spectator, but this place is very nice, covers a lot of sports and kept some of the paintings that were house in the now defunct music hall of fame. Well laid out, beautiful space.

If you are into sports, especially sports in Georgia, this is the place for you. The good is it does not focus just on UGA but many schools and also multiple sports - including baseball, tennis, cycling (!), equestrian, golf and many more. If you are into sports, this is definitely worth your time. Very well laid out and lots... More

The museum is in a good location downtown. It is near public transportation and near many of the other museums which is convenient when visiting Macon. It has other activities for children to do besides the typical display of the athletes.

I was down in Macon for one night so I decided to go over to the GA Sports Hall of Fame. Being from Georgia, it was interesting to learn about all the unknown sports history. I was amazed how many exhibits they had. I loved the interactive games and exhibits. I would suggest stopping by the museum if you are... More

The entrance movie was excellent; and would be an inspiration especially for students - never give up. The displays were set up nicely - even sports figures from my home state were honored which was a good feeling.

I visited the Georgia Sports Hall of Fame in August 2014. I thought the museum was affordable to visit, has interactive activities for children including tossing a football through a tire and the college sports exhibit featured all of Georgia colleges. As a graduate of the University of West Georgia, I found the display about UWG very informative. What I... More

We stopped in to the Georgia Sports Hall of Fame on our way back to ATL. The place is beautiful. The exhibits are nice. You start out with a movie that is about 20 mins long. The auditorium it is in is set up like Ponce De Leon ballpark. I went there as a small child and that was neat.... More
