Had dinner at the Opera House while visiting a friend in Andersonville. The building itself is 200 years old and very cool. The upstairs bar has an outside patio complete with ferns and comfortable furniture where you can sit and enjoy a beverage while watching the street traffic and imagining what it was like 200 years ago. Great place...

My first play, I saw at this theater on a school field trip AND my first dance recital was here too. I also graduated in this building in 1997. Very historical and beautiful building.

Do a concert here if you can. Broadway touring shows, local productions, world class entertainers, anyone and everyone. Just go see the place. Outside of the Fox Theater in Atlanta, WOW!

I was a little hesitant going to the opera on Macon, but this is a grand old building, and the experience was divine. The inner area has been redone, and it is such a step back in time. It 's beuatiful. We saw Les Miserable there, and the company was fantastic. Obviously , there are no New York set changes... More

The main event we visit the Grand for is the annual John Berry Christmas concert. What a wonderful and pretty place. However, if you are like me and need leg room; I do not recommend a seat in the balcony. When I sat there for another concert, I felt very cramped and uncomfortable. The floor seats are fine. We love... More

I go to several shows at the Grand each year. The staff is helpful, and the shows are always great! They have a Broadway series each year and it is great to be able to stay in Macon to watch a show instead of having to travel to Atlanta.

The Grand Opera House in Macon is a jewel of the theater. The acoustics are excellent and virtually every seat in the house is good. If you can get front row balcony, take it. The stage is fantastic and very large. Highly complicated productions are possible.

A gem of a theatre. The locals called it the Little Fox Theatre of Macon. It sort of was. Didn't notice any food or drink for purchase, but the ushers did not stop you if you had a covered cup in hand.

We have season tickets to the Broadway plays each season. Generally the plays are very good. Once of twice we have left when the language was not acceptable. The one problem that we have had with the Opera House as a building is the AC. Our seats are in the back directly in front of the air vents. We have... More
