Cannon Hall Farm is a large, family run farm attraction. Sitting in the rolling Pennine foothills, it’s home to hundreds of animals, waiting to welcome you to a world of animal magic. The farm features one of the biggest and best equipped playgrounds in the north of England and the largest tube maze in Europe. The farm shop is famous for home produced beef, pork, lamb and a huge variety of sausages. Our on site bakery produces award winning pies and delicious artisan bread every morning. The tearoom serves delicious home cooked food. New for 2015, The Hungry Llama indoor play and restaurant adds a great indoor option with some dramatic slides and innovative play features to a day that's already packed with fun. The farm was winner of Best Tourism Experience at The White Rose Awards in 2011 and highly commended in the same category in the Visit England Awards 2012. The farm was shortlisted in the Best Large Attraction Award at the White Rose Awards 2014 and won the New Innovation Award for it's new farmyard in the National Farms for Schools Awards 2015.

This is an interesting 'attraction'. There is the house which is well presented, and the gardens are a delight. Parking is plentiful and £3 can be set against the cost of food . Entry to the play areas and animal barns is reasonably priced at 7.95. There are a couple of good places to eat and the farm shop offers... More

I haven't been to Cannon Hall in quite a few years and when I last went the farm was closed for refurbishment, so I was looking forward to this visit. The gardens are beautiful on their own and the museum is very interesting, but I went mainly for the farm. They have 5 new barns now, all of which are... More

I always feel uplifted when I visit Cannon Hall Farm. The staff are always very friendly and helpful and the location is amazing, with superb views. I have been visiting for many years either for a full day out with the kids, lunch, or to buy my weekly meat and quite a few extra treats from the farm shop. We... More

Once again thanks to cannon hall for another fantastic day out the reason I am reviewing again is because they have now built a massive indoor play area which is totally fantastic and at no extra cost My little one absolutely loved it and so did i

Visited on bank holiday Monday, arrived early and headed to the new indoor play area, already the ground floor tables were full, got a table upstairs which also has access to the soft play area. The soft play is very new and in superb condition with some exceptional slides. Food good but not enough staff on tills or to clear... More

We've been visiting Cannon Hall farm for 10 years now and seen a lot of changes, but for every plus, there seems to be a minus. Pluses: Lots of great play areas for kids, quirky little events like sheep and ferret racing, cafe food is lovely, farm shop has some great products, lots of space for kids to run around... More

Great play areas for children (no use to us) but other than that, I was far from impressed. It's all a bit clinical and you can't get anywhere near to touching any of the animals (apart from one rabbit and a guinea pig) Some of the animals are a bit crammed in, and the poor goats have nothing to climb... Picked a lovely sunny day, children loved the lots fantastic play parks there mega, gave the smelly pigs a miss lol our choice! The children enjoyed feeding the animals, the sheep race was entertaining, was surprise about the cost £7.95 per adult or family £30 inc two adult and two children, but was a good day,

Came Saturday and was expecting the place to be manic with it being the school holidays...I was pleasantly surprised ! Had a wonderful round the animals, saw the farmer milling the cows, saw the ferrets race - all great but without a doubt my little boys (age 5) day was made by the outdoor play area. What a fantastic place... More

The farm was been improved a lot over the past few years. There is plenty to see and lots of activities running throughout the day. The area is great for walking and exploring. There are lovely gardens to view as well. The tea room is brilliant and had a wide variety of hot and cold foods. They do fantastic afternoon... More
