Cannon Hall Farm is a large, family run farm attraction. Sitting in the rolling Pennine foothills, it’s home to hundreds of animals, waiting to welcome you to a world of animal magic. The farm features one of the biggest and best equipped playgrounds in the north of England and the largest tube maze in Europe. The farm shop is famous for home produced beef, pork, lamb and a huge variety of sausages. Our on site bakery produces award winning pies and delicious artisan bread every morning. The tearoom serves delicious home cooked food. New for 2015, The Hungry Llama indoor play and restaurant adds a great indoor option with some dramatic slides and innovative play features to a day that's already packed with fun. The farm was winner of Best Tourism Experience at The White Rose Awards in 2011 and highly commended in the same category in the Visit England Awards 2012. The farm was shortlisted in the Best Large Attraction Award at the White Rose Awards 2014 and won the New Innovation Award for it's new farmyard in the National Farms for Schools Awards 2015.

We decided to visit Cannon Hall as I had not been since I was a child and it had changed a lot! It was quite expensive to park and to enter the farm but when you see the new facilities and the cleanliness of the barns it shows where the money has gone to! The structure and layout made it... More

if you want great outdoor and indoor play ares then this is the place for you. If you want a farm where you can get close to and feed animals don't bother. My boys love the play areas but aren't bothered about just looking at animals, they used to love feeding and petting them. Staff in llama cafe were very... More

We took the dog here as we heard it was good for walking dogs etc., pleasantly surprised, acres of space for the dog to run. Lovely gardens at the museum, very well tended, walked round the front of the museum and crossed over to the farm shop, fabulous farm shop and not overpriced as some farm shops can be. Very... More

I've been visiting Cannon Hall farm ever since I was a toddler, but after seeing the latest developments to the farm on my recent visit I'm sad to say I won't be returning again. What was once a simple, intimate, and homely farm is now a busy, built-up, americanised abomination. It's great that Cannon Hall are making the effort to... More

Had a really good time here but felt it was a little but expensive for the time we spent there - £19 (£16 entry and £3 parking) and we spent less than an hour in the farm. Definitely better for families with children. Walking round the gardens afterwards was nice and you don't have to pay the entry fee as... More

Went here with the kids hoping to see lots of animals and get up close but you can feed the animals only by putting the feed in a pipe and dropping it down to them about 15ft below you not very good at all we went to the new indoor play centre wow very expensive we only had a drink... More

Visited today with my children aged 6 and nearly 2. We got there nice and early, arriving at 10:30am and therefore no problems parking etc. Annoying that the parking ticket machine doesn't take notes, I had to buy something from the little cafe with a £20 note and the girl was reluctant to give me enough pound coins in change,... Took the Grandkids aged 6 and 1, both loved it. Both loved seeing the animals and great play areas both inside and outside. Great places to have picnics and good toilet facilities. Good value for money, gift/toy shop has some great gifts not over priced and a great farm shop. Had a lovely day, recommend it.

I love visiting cannon hall farm, we come every year. My review title says it all, its very good value. Something for everyone, the older kids like playing on the adventure playgrounds of which there is a wide choice of activities and even on the busiest of school holiday days doesnt seem too crowded. The smaller children love to watch... More
