We have visited the maize maze now for a good 4 years running and always enjoyed it. Perfect for all ages of the family. Looking forward to bringing my new nephew this summer.

First visit. No need to pre book just turn up. But make sure it's open first on there website. Amazing. Good price family of 4 was £22. fun and challenging. We got lost but that's what it's all about. We had help if we wanted to get out. Kids get a flag so you can always see them. You can... More

Thank you for your review. We did have portaloos, they were between the catering van and the entrance to the maze, by the hedge; I am sorry that you didn't see them. More

Visited just after it opened for the year, we spend several hours wondering around the maze which grew to great heights this year. Haystacks and tractors were around the outside of the maze with plenty of activities and games for the children. For the small price of admission, it's a must do for next summer - having been York's maze... More

On such a wet foul day it is nice to think back to the summer and the fun of the Maize Maze! Glad you all enjoyed it. My husband loved puzzles, so the puzzle aspect has always been important to us, rather than just walking down long paths - especially on a hot day! We cram a lot of paths... More

I never miss a trip to the maize maze with the grandkiuds during the summer holidays from school. Five grandkids aged from 11 to 9years old really love it here.

Intriguing and frustrating in equal measures! Despite my careful map reading my children (7 and 3) ran off and disappeared and we were soon lost. There's not many landmarks once you do get lost and I think we got out as much by luck as judgement. Good fun though and lots to other stuff outside the maze too to entertain... More

Glad you had fun; don't worry about not being able to find your way out, the staff are on the bridge watching until the very last person is out! If you keep walking you will always come to the bridge - not always on the exit path, but the Maze Masters can then point you in the right direction to... More

Thank you for taking time to leave such great review. Glad you approve of the change of field. I do now wish we had done it several years ago! Sorry about the downside of the parking charges - all parking in Cawthorne is charged for and the council have put their charges substantially this year. We have opened our field,... More

The maize maze has moved this fields this year which makes it feel much bigger and has created more space for the additional fun activities and games that are set out in the smaller field.. Dancing sunflowers makes the exterior look very attractive and the maize towers above your head so there is no chance of cheating. The helpful map... More

Oh dear we had a look at this before deciding to go to Canon Hall there was no maze to run around I don't know if it was late on in summer or the rain ruined it.

Gosh, what I shame - I don't know where you looked, maybe the field we use for parking? The maze is very much still there - it is about 9 feet tall, thick lush plants and in near perfect condition. The staff work hard to make sure it is kept in as a good condition possible for people paying to... More

Helpful staff, easy to find, extensive on site parking. The Maize Maze has a different theme each year; clear instructions, flags to wave if you get lost...very different family day out. Delicious BBQ food prepared fresh for you, yummy Maisie Moo icecream and drinks. Lots of other activities too such as tractor rides and games. Full for all the family

Glad you liked our sunflowers! It is the first time I have sown them, I also think they have looked fab. The terrain is a bit rough, so yes we recommend old trainer, walking boots or wellies according to weather conditions as it is only a "farmers field". We advise people to look on our facebook page facebook.com/cawthornemaze for weather... More
