19,000 foot tandem skydive!

I had always wanted to skydive in New Zealand and I'm so glad we did it here! My friend and I had both been skydiving before, but the 19,000 foot jump gave us a new thrill (I... read more

I had always wanted to skydive in New Zealand and I'm so glad we did it here! My friend and I had both been skydiving before, but the 19,000 foot jump gave us a new thrill (I previously had done 13,500 and she had done 15,000 ft) and a nice long freefall (I think close to 90 seconds?). The scenery... More

This was my second skydive in New Zealand (previously I have done 15,000 feet jump over Lake Taupo) so this time naturally I had to go higher. I was surprised to find out they were doing 19,000 feet for a price of a 15,000 feet jump in Queenstown. So immediately I went for it. And it was amazing!! To start... More

My friend had come all the way from England to visit me and one of the main activities we wanted to do together is a skydive. We planned our trip around it. After we booked and paid for our skydive at Franz Josef and got to the airfield to get ready we were then told that we were not able... More

This is probably the coolest thing I've done. The "instructors" were really cool guys with a positive attitude and they knew their stuff! I did the 19 000 ft. Do it!!!

Did a 16000 ft dive with Franz Josef as my first skydive. We had unbelievably good weather, something that I've heard is not all that common in the area. Check in was smooth, you sign the legal waiver, decide what mediapack you want to purchase (expensive but really skilled photographers and incredible photos) and get weighed. Franz Josef seems to... If you aren't wowed enough by the flight up with the best views I have seen in my life, then jumping out a plane and free falling with those surroundings ought to do it! I can't lie I was mostly excited to do this rather than nervous, although the 5 seconds before jumping out the plane I suddenly felt the... More

this was a great first skydive that left me hungering for more skydiving. The guides were super professional and offered loads of advice on how to get certified as a skydiver and showed great knowledge about the area. In general they were attentive the whole way, even when they had many to send flying. They were super helpful and assuring... More

I don't have enough good things to say about this operation! The instructors, photographers and office staff are amazing at calming pre-skydiving nerves. The views up to 19,000 ft and the view coming down are unreal. I was a first time skydiver and extremely nervous. The chutes are packed in front of you and everything is checked and double checked.... More

Jumping out of a plane was not what I planned to do, but the Team of Skydive Franz made it a lot easier to fall nearly fearless out of a plane. From all the popular skydive locations in New Zealand the franz Josef glacier was my choice and I was rewarded. The view was amazing, incredible and unique. Everything from... More

We had been driving around South Island for some time and had wanted to skydive when we visited Queenstown and Wanaka, but the weather at those places was unfavaourable. It was even raining on the day we drove into Franz Josef, but the lady at the counter assured us that it would be sunny the next day. We thus booked... More
