Fantastic experience, wanted to do it again straight away afterwards. 1st ever skydive, did 16,000ft with photos and video. Got there and we got suited up (me plus 2 german guys) and got straight in to lane after instruction. View was amazing, can see the beach and sea, glacier, mountains, everything. This is the place to do a skydive, you... More

Had an amazing time doing my first skydive, 19,000ft and had a great instructor. I'm looking forward to doing another one. They accommodated me for my weight too. Im not fat I'm just really tall, and there is an extra charge but not a lot, and was willing to pay it. Just breathtaking the whole way through. Expensive but totally... More

Thank you for your awesome review! Glad to hear you enjoyed it so much you want to go again! We are the only company that will take customers over 100kg in New Zealand, so as you say the small surcharge is considered worth it to most! Well done on going straight to the top first time..you will certainly have seen... More

Thank you for your review! May is a great time of year to visit Franz Josef..although it can be a little colder, we do often get the most spectacular skies and the views are stunning when dusted with fresh snow!! We think the skydive itself is great fun and our instructors pride themselves on being enthusiastic and supportive, allowing you... More

Amazing experience from the off! Jumping out at 19,000ft requires you to have an oxygen mask on the way just to rattle the nerves a little more! Would do over and over again, special thanks to the team at skydive Franz Josef you KILLED it!

Thank you for your review! Congratulations on your first jump..from 19,000ft! It sounds like you have caught the skydive bug!! Awesome! The oxygen mask does make some people nervous, but as I am sure you now know, it is only a cautionary measure to stop you from getting dizzy before you jump..this way you can appreciate the views to their... I did my very first skydive with Skydive Franz on the 16th of May and it was a truly unique and amazing experience! I just walked in and it did not take long to book my jump. After a few minutes they brought me (and other skydiver) to the airfiled. There we could watch the ones jumping before us gliding... More

Thank you for your review..you have pretty much said it all right there and it sounds like you really enjoyed your experience! You are correct..steering the canopy is not guaranteed, it is a judgement call our guys have to make depending on conditions ect..but great you got the opportunity to have a go! It is unfortunate that we cannot offer... More

I don't even know where to start. I'm terrified of heights. I felt safe with these guys though and I was actually excited when I boarded the plane. The views were so amazing. You can see all the way to the coast, the rivers, NZ highest peaks, the southern alps and of course the two glaciers. It has to be... More

Birthday present for two of us and totally impressed with service. Started in the office with no fuss talk to Becky then usual form filling and then out to the airstrip. Good one-on-one safety briefing and kit up with instructor. Clean tidy hanger with toilet across the road.....be careful open speed limit on the road.....We chose the 18000 foot jump.... More

The guys at the Skydive stayed open late because they knew that we were coming straight off the ice at the glacier! With the sun setting over the sea on one side and the mountains snowy peaks on the other I conquered my fear with the help of some great jumpers and jumped from 16,000 feet! I want to do... More

I've been wanting to try skydiving since forever, and I'm so glad Skydive Franz made the whole experience worth waiting for. The scenery was beyond gorgeous, you get to see greenery, snow-peaked mountains and even the sea. It all seemed to happen very fast, but my skydive instructor, Chris was absolutely reassuring and funny as well. He helped to lighten... More

As it was my first dive, i was evidently scared and nervous. The instructors at Skydive Franz Joseph were extremely comforting and supportive. Right from the time you enter the store till you are flying over the glacier, you will never have a dull moment . also its a dive with a view that is hard to get elsewhere :)
