We had made arrangements before leaving the US. We met the Fox Glacier Guides around 9 AM. Took us to helipad and got us fitted with warm socks and boots. Then we took the helicopter to Fox Glacier. Landed and got fitted with crampons to help walk around. Our guides, Scott and Jake, kept us moving while they chopped ice... More

The weather meant all helihikes were cancelled the day I booked so I was rebooked the following day. I awoke to a perfectly clear morning...woohoo! Kirsten was the guide for my tour - I'm a little scared of heights and Kirsten was patient and supportive the whole way through - even holding my hand to help me down several steep... More

We drove up from Queenstown to spend an entire day on the ice. If you are thinking about visiting the glacier, go with the ice climbing package. It is so much better than the heli-hike! You get to spend a full day on the ice rather than just an hour or two. And you get to climb up ice walls,... More

My wife and I recently completed the helihike trip and had a great time. Our guides (Chen Chen & Liz) were everything you could hope for in a guide - friendly, knowledgable, extremely experienced and obliging. My wife is 6 months pregnant and our guides went out of their way to ensure that we were both able to experience the... More

We didnt plan well so didnt get to spend much time at the Glacier as we had to retrun back in order to get through the Haast pass before it closed as we were to fly to Wellington the next day. But I will recommend anyone who is planning to visit the Fox Glacier to book an accomodation for the... More

The Fox Glacier Guiding's Flying Fox Heli-Hike is an absolute must-do while in New Zealand! This was one of the most amazing experiences I have ever had and it beyond exceeded my expectations! The helicopter ride up gives you a breathtaking view of the glacier and is a fabulous start to the trip. Once on the glacier the staff guide... More

It was lovely to read that you and your daughter thought our Fox Trail: Terminal Face Walk was a highlight of your New Zealand trip. It is certainly nice to have the differences between taking the public track or a guided walk defined by our visitors. We were also glad to hear that overall you thought the trip was value... More

My younger daugher (15 years) and I did a guided walk to the face of Fox Glacier on 23 September 2014. It was well worth the additional money joining a guided walk, as you go off the public track down towards the river and along to the glacial face. The guide was knowledgable and pleasant. An amazing experience!
