We had a great trip up to the Glacier, our guide Sarah, was very informative and knew lots about the area. The Guides kept us safe, as they pointed out the Hazards while we walked to the Glacier. They provided us with suitable boots, leggings and Jacket. All very comfortable. We all had a great time. Many thanks

We started a great adventure by walking from our campsite to meet up at the office just off of the main road. This wasn't an ordinary office. It had a cafe with great coffee, a decent selection of cake, outdoor gear to buy, gifts and a nice receptionist who let us know what was happening. After filling out the necessary... More

Had to wait an extra day for weather to clear but well worth it, apparently rains 200+ days a year here. We did have a sunny day (take sun cream even on wet day) and totally enjoyed the experience, worth the price. Our son did the climb and we did the walk, great experience.

We operate in an alpine environment and as such we always expect that our weather can be changeable or fickle. It was great to read that you had the extra time to allow for this exact weather. This is something we always recommend doing. Our rainfall is also famous! On average Fox Glacier township has up to 5 metres of... More

My husband and I did the Terminal Face walk tour this trip. We thoroughly enjoyed it and had a great tour guide - Mike who gave us lots of information about the glacier and the history behind it all. We enjoyed that we got to venture down off the general public track to get a good look at the Terminal... More

Thanks for the endorsement of our Fox Trail: Terminal Face Walk and highlighting the value of this two hour informative valley trip. Never say never, we'd love to have you back one day to showcase the Fox's upper ice-fall by crunching around on the Flying Fox: Heli Hike. All the best for your travels. Arrived late one evening and inquired about climbing the next day. Alas all trips were booked. However when we spoke to the manager and told her we were experienced climbers she called one of the guides who was scheduled to be off and got him to take us up the glacier. They did a great job of tailoring the trip... More

My wife and I were very impressed with the incredible beauty and changing landscape of Fox Glacier. The ice caves with deep blue ice were a visual kaleidoscope. The guides seem to really enjoy showing the natural beauty of Fox Glacier Well done very well run adventure company.

Thank you for your endorsement of our operation, we remind ourselves everyday that we are very privileged to be able to operate in this stunning environment mother nature has provided. Wow! We were originally hoping to do Franz Josef Heli Hike but it was booked out so we managed to get the last two spots on the Fox Glacier Heli Hike and it didn't disappoint. We had such an awesome time and the guides were so friendly! Highly recommended you do this.

We maybe the smaller West Coast town but the Fox is the larger glacier and we love showing our visitors its changing beauty. So thanks for coming on over the hill and giving us this opportunity. We're also glad you enjoyed hanging out with our team, it's not a bad office they have is it. All the best for your... More

What an amazing trip, we had two amazing guides Melissa and Duncan both very friendly and very informative, we booked the early trip at 7.50am and were lucky enough to complete our trip because as we were just finishing up the weather turned and all other trips for the day were cancelled, we had two separate groups and Melissa took... This is a good example of the fickleness of weather in an alpine environment, lucky you squeezing in the one and only trip for the day. We always recommend to allow a bit of extra time in our region for this very reason. If a trip is cancelled we will try, where possible, to reschedule. We appreciate that people have... More

We booked a heli-hike on the Fox Glacier with Fox Glacier Guiding. Mountain weather changes quickly so you show up for your tour and then wait for the pilot to make the call about whether your tour will go or not depending on the cloud cover. We got lucky and got a great tour of the glacier. Good instructions on... More

This was a dream come true experience. Very professionally run. Great guide on the glacier with a geology degree, and she was very informative and fun. I'm in my early 60's and walk regularly, reasonably fit, but not an athlete. It was not difficult and once I got used to the crampons I did quite well. The helicopter ride was... More
