We took the helihike tour on 1st April 2014. We were glad that the sky turns to clear early in the morning, hence making the tour possible. Our guided tour was really good, and our guide explained everything we wanted to know. We would recommend anyone for the helihike, though the price is much steeper than the walking tour, but... More

If we want to walk on the ice, you have to take a guide. You can walk close to the ice without a guide, but not on the ice. And walking on the ice is very nice. It does not require an extraordinary good health condition, but you need the guide to tell you where to go, and create steps... More

Wonderful heli-hike experience! We booked a glacier walk trip but it was cancelled due to some unpredictable reason. We opted for a terminal walk initially but we changed our mind last minutes to go for heli-hike instead. The staffs are so helpful and patience in helping us arrange for the last minutes changes without make us feel that they are irritated.... More

Don't visit New Zealand without doing this. It was an amazing experience. We took the half-day glacier walk called the Fox Trot and wished we had been able to made time in our schedule for the full day adventure. Experiencing the glacier up close and personal was something we will not forget. Our guide was experienced and was able to... More

The guided tour was really good! Did it with two friends and we had a lot of fun. Our guide explained everything we wanted to know, took photos of us if we wanted and showed us really pretty details if she found some! Get dressed warm if you do the tour!

We were very lucky, as we had one day planned in Fox Glacier and it happened to be clear! The staff was informative and very friendly, and the trip was very well organized. The views were spectacular, and climbing into the ice caves was nothing short of incredible. The rented boots were wet when we put them on (GROSS) but... More

My husband and I greatly enjoyed going on this helihike tour! In fact, out of the 3 weeks we spent traveling throughout NZ, my husband said this was his favorite excursion. Where else can you ride in a helicopter to see beautiful scenery and mountains, then land on a glacier and spend the next 2 hours hiking around, exploring? The... More

Completely recommend. Great day! Did the day trip which started at 8.15 with a safety briefing. They provided boots, crampons, coats, hats, scarves, gloves (anything you need). We got to the site of the glacier at about 9am and started the walk. Due to recent shifts in the glacier's behaviour we got a raft across the river. Our tour guide,... More

We did the half day Fox Trot tour. Great price, great location as inside cafe and large gift shop. Professional friendly, knowledgable staff. You are fully fitted with anything you need from boots to jackets to backpacks. Happy, fun knowledgable guide. Bus trip to the bottom of the Glacier, the walk was amazing, climbing up ice stairs and inside ice... More
