Had so much fun, great show seeing working dogs bring the sheep in, watching a sheep get a haircut n feeding the lambs. John the sheerer was really funny and entertaining. Would recommend this place for all ages.

This place was an amazing insight into New Zealand's most important industry. John was extremely knowledgable and great fun. His dogs Sam and boy were brilliant. We enjoyed every minute and thoroughly enjoyed shearing a sheep and feeding the very cute lambs! We would highly recommend this to anyone!

We took our 11 year old son in the school holidays this July. Great show which was fun to watch and very educational for us. Although the ground was damp outside we walked around the animal pens which had everything from Deer to rabbits. Only about 35mins from Auckland.

An experience for any age which is fun, informative and interactive. The guy who led the visit was so passio b ate about his work it rubbed off. His dog was a treasure. Recommend highly. Easy to drive past but well worth the stop. Allow about 2 hours.

If you like sheep then you will enjoy this attraction just north of Warkworth. The best bit was watching the interaction between the staff and the dogs, fantastic to see such skill and dedication. A major downside to a visit here are the 'Black Flies', so go well protected - we didn't - if you want to avoid the painful... More

We're glad you enjoyed your afternoon at Sheepworld, especially the dog work in the show. The "black flies" that you mention are harmless midges that can be found in most areas of rural NZ. They pop up in greater numbers in warmer moist weather and seem to pick on some people more than others - we are sorry if you... More

We really enjoyed the sheep dog and shearing show here. First they took us outside to see the dogs round up the sheep. Amazing. Then they took us inside for an entertaining sheep sheering demonstration, with an opportunity for audience participation. The presenter had a great sense of humor and also took quite a few audience questions. The approximately one-hour... More

We could feel the effort from the staffs. It's not just a "zoo" but there is so many information regarding to the sheep and wool products. The show was excellent. We went there on a weekday, only two of us watching the show but we can still feel their passion. The gentlemen introduced in detail the function of the dogs... More

Came here with my young family. We paid to watch the show which was fantastic. The man taking the talk was very informative and humorous. Great displays with the dogs and sheep. After we went for a walk around the grounds and fed the animals which were very well cared for and not under-fed as suggested in other reviews. On... More

We went there on Friday with the kids as it was school holidays....the food in the café was great and then we went for a walk around the farm area, I work in animal welfare and could see that the animals were very unhappy and they were starving, the poor ram had its large horns growing into the side of...
