Sheepworld is New Zealand’s Sheep and Wool Centre. In twice-daily live demonstrations the dogs round up and bring in the sheep, which are then sorted and shorn. Our Wonderful Wool multimedia exhibition then explains how the fleece is turned into an amazing variety of products, many of which are on sale in our store. There’s also an eco-discovery stroll through native bush, a natural adventure playground, a farmyard full of animals and an on-site cafe. Suitable for all ages.

Had a great time here with my 2 year old daughter. Plenty of farm animals to see. Very clean park. Well priced food to give the animals. Animals were friendly. Cafe was good. Yummy hot chocolate and my daughter enjoyed her fluffy.

The sheep shearing demonstration included use of the dogs farmers use to round up the sheep. I've been on sheep farms in NZ but I still learned a lot and so did my grand-daughter. The kids loved to feed the lambs. The demonstrator was excellent and he was happy to chat and answer questions afterwards. There are also a lot... More

While visiting NZ, we have seen a few sheep shearing demonstrations, but this one is the *absolute* best. Watching the working dogs and learning how important they are to the sheep industry is fascinating. Then the host told us about a world of competitive shearing that we never even knew existed! My daughter volunteered to shear part of the sheep... More

Great show but too expensive. New Zealand is a country full of sheep and I think I counted no more than 20. It is good if you have kids!

Having been to Agrodome in Rotorua I can definitely say this is much better. No big tour buses (yet!) and the audience is around 20-30 people so it feels more intimate. From the cafe, gift shop, to the show it feels like a family run business (not sure if it is or not). The gift shop is reasonable priced as... More

We visited for the 7th time ? Bringing overseas visitors gives us free entry. A one man show for an hour kept us enthralled. Rob has been here for 12 years and seems as fresh as ever in his presentation. Two dogs and one woolly sheep were the stage extras that added to the show inside and the dogs outside... More

Such a lovely stop. Sheep dog demonstration and shearing was well worth the stop. The commentator of the show was excellent and very informative.
