Sheepworld is New Zealand’s Sheep and Wool Centre. In twice-daily live demonstrations the dogs round up and bring in the sheep, which are then sorted and shorn. Our Wonderful Wool multimedia exhibition then explains how the fleece is turned into an amazing variety of products, many of which are on sale in our store. There’s also an eco-discovery stroll through native bush, a natural adventure playground, a farmyard full of animals and an on-site cafe. Suitable for all ages.

Excellent place to spend a day here. Loved the show. A lot information and well presented. Many thanks to the staff (incl. dogs) who love their job. I think prices (compared to others) are very reasonable. If that wouldn't be our last day in NZ (out off funds) I would buy great quality products from the shop. Thanks and keep... More

The sheep show was a wonderful blend of information and interaction! Our kids loved it (6 and 2).. And so did we. The Eco discovery trail and the farm animals were both well worth a walk around. For $1 you get a decent bag of food that lasts a long time. Feeding alpacas and other farm animals was a highlight!!!

A great interactive experience feeding farm animals to give young people confidence. The show was informative and interactive too John did a great job of inducting the audience into working with sheep. The shop was well stocked and had the cheapest silver fern beanies we have found (wool of course). Cafe was good for an ice cream great cakes and... More

This was a great little place to visit. You can feed and interact with all the animals there. The highlight of the day has to be the show. I was lucky enough to go when there was only a small crowd so it was very hands on, informative and hugely entertaining. I would recommend going to anyone.

fantastic pit stop between aucks and whangarei, with clean facilities, a hilarious show, well cared for animals, and lovely staff. Very cool, we'll be back again soon. My 2yr old and 5 yr old had a ball, we spent 2hrs here and didn't even get to exploring the playgrounds.

We are tourists and getting to know sheep up close and personal is definitely a to-do thing on the itinerary. We picked Sheepworld as it is close to Auckland, and just off the highway up to Northland so it is easy to reach. Parking is easy too, as we drove a large campervan. We were not sure if $29 per... We visited this week & while our young granddaughter enjoyed seeing the animals, we felt the entrance fees were too high. We only paid to enter the park, as we had seen the show before. We had lunch in the cafe & though some of the homemade food was nice, again we felt the prices were too high, including the... More

Thank you for your comments on your recent visit. We are disappointed that you felt that the entrance to the park without the show was overpriced. Most visitors opt to see the show as well as the park, a package which is very good value for money indeed. Entrance to the park only without the show does work out to... More

Small but unique. They have a great variety of pets (rabbits etc) and sheep, cows and donkeys. We liked the lamb and we could pet them. The farmer was very kind and gave us the possibility to feed the small cows. Maybe because it is so small and familiar we liked it. Everybody was very friendly and they have a... More

On our last week in News Zealand we drove up north and went to sheep world for Valentine's Day initially as a joke but ended up having a great time. The farm is very picturesque with a nice petting zoo. The dogs are incredibly intelligent and it's actually fascinating watching them work. Well worth a visit for something different.
