Come here if you want to pet animals and have an amazing experience. The animals are cute, and you can watch the cows be milked. It is also free.

My wife and I took her nephew, niece, parents, and friends here last week. They were visiting from Japan. They all thoroughly enjoyed themselves. Highlights included being able to get up close (and hand feed) the horses, goats, and calves . Hard to believe this is all free, what a great place for a family outing. Would also recommend for... great open area so close to the city, is a working farm so lots of live stock but also bird life. I was here in March prior to the godwits embarking on their flight to Alaska , very interesting to see hundreds of birds massing. Do pick your weather as the sewage treatment plant is just around the bend, it... More

Have been here numerous times and the kids love it everytime we are here. Its free , lots of farm animals(chicken, lamb, goat, horse, calve, turkey) , you can go inside the gated sections to see and pad the animals (not bulls tho unless you want to get yourself killed). If you are lucky, you will see peacock as well.... More

We loved Ambury Regional Park! We had some time to pass between flying into AKL and checking into our hotel, so we decided to visit the park. It was absolutely beautiful! Gentle walking trails through the grasslands and around the pastures lead to beautiful views of the water. The animals are gentle and beautiful - we were able to see... More

Lovely walking area with picnic areas and farm animals. A great walk along the coastal walkways. Nothing to dislike here.

If you enjoy walking start at the kiwi esplanade which is at Mangere bridge. Walk along the waterfront and enjoy the beautiful views. You will come across thousands of oyster catchers you hang out in a paddock by the walkway. When you get to the end you can walk through Ambury Park. This is a great place to visit with... More

We camped the night in a campervan. Basic toilet and water facilities though showers also available at entrance area. Great walks and fantastic interacting with the farm animals for the kids.

Ambury regional park is a nice area. Good walks in the open air. Our primary purpose was to view birds from the bird hide. I've been several times and never seen anything from the main bird hide near the car park/camp ground. The best spots for viewing the waders are between Ambury park and the Mangere lagoon/Puketutu Island (you can... More
