Kids love the farm day. Pat the animals and tractor rides . Parking can be difficult as it gets busy so be early. When there is not a farm day the walk around is lovely, and stunning views.

This is such a great little outing to take the kids on. It's a huge park, so you can for a nice long walk if you feel like exploring. There's loads of animals and most of them will come nice and close and don't mind too much if you try to pet them. If you're there at about 10 you... More

We spent one night in our motorhome at Ambury campsite. Given it's proximity to town and the airport, you'd be hard-pressed to find a prettier setting. As it's a working farm, the campsite is near to goats, sheep and other farm animals. The facilities are basic (only long drops in the campsite), but there are flushing loos and pay-for showers... Nice ambience No showers in the overnight section. Use the toilet/showers in the general park. Close to Auckland and the airport.

C1 + G ( 2014.01.10 ) I and my family visited there as a farm. There was a not so many animal, but animal was very cute, and could touch them. There was a sheep, rabbit, duck, cow etc. Not many, but this animal made me happy enough. There was a some trail to sea, forest and farm. There was... More

We had a few hours to kill before our flight from Auckland and read about the park at our airport hotel. It was a lovely spot to round off our holiday in New Zealand. We enjoyed looking at the animals and doing the circular walk.

Ambury Regional Park is only 15 km from Auckland city centre but when you are at the park it is like being in the country side. You would not think that there is about 1million people living on your door step. Because Ambury is a farm park you will find lots of farm animals in the park. Sheep, cattle and... More

Took the kids there and we had a great morning - you can stroll freely through the paddocks between the animals in most cases, watch the cows being milked at 10am and also see some of the work being done around the farm. A couple of farm walks to be done with older children and some nice areas to have... More
