This theater, or Performing Arts Center, is an awesome venue. I frequent this center often and have never been disappointed at all. The seats, although some are not the best in comfort, are positioned that there is no bad seat in the place. They have acts for every taste of the arts. Concerts, plays, musicals, comedians, you name it this... More

This is a majestic old theatre, hiding behind a nondescript façade. Inside the architecture reminds one of how theatres used to be. The pipe organ still works, and sounds beautiful. The rows are well-spaced; you are not crowded. We saw The Sound of Music here, and while the cast was good, they were made better by the theatre. Acoustics were... More

Great folk music in a historic theater. If you got bored you can look at the walls and ceiling with last century design.

I love old theatres like this one and I was glad to see it's been saved and restored. It's a great mid sized theatre with comfortable seats and good sound. We were there for the folk festival and saw a couple of acts there. It was a hot day outside and the ac felt really nice too! They are currently... More

I love this venue. Small so that you avoid the large crowds, but still gets big/great acts. Renovated in recent years so very comfortable. Lots of seat room. Great sound. Plenty of parking in the area - garage or street. Lots of nightlife and restaurants in the area for before or after the show.

This wonderful old theater is something that you must see if you want a great show in a great venue. The Z offers everything from music concerts to plays and everything in between. It's a marvelous "hidden gem" in the city and I'm proud that it's survived for so long.

I have been going to the Z since it opened. It has improved its variety of programs every year since. Something for everyone, and much more reasonable than Boston or Providence.
