Fabulous location, always a breeze.

Sat on the many benches and just enjoyed the view of the waterfront. Able to enter the old fort and climb around.

I frequently fo to Fort Tabor Park throughout each year. In the early morning and early evening it has been less crowded and I will sit on rocks near the waterfront and enjoy the view. It is rather peaceful. The park grounds are well kept but the portable rest room is somewhat uninviting in regards to overall cleanliness. I recommend... More

Enjoyed walking through the large & the lovely park. Something for all generations: military history, Viet Nam memorial, playground, concession stand with reasonable prices (!!), & a stunning view all around. Wish the interior of the fort had been open to visitors, as the cloister-style courtyard looked lovely from what we could see through gun slots & door spaces.

Nice park to walk or bike through, has an old civil war fort, and some WW1 and WW2 fortifications that you can explore. Fun for any age, and a nice view on a clear day to the Elizabeth islands to boot!

Ft. Taber is a great place to go for long walks, historical atmosphere and a very nice military museum. All are free, as well as the parking. Just note that the parking lot is rather small and fills up quickly in warmer weather. This is a great place for families, too.

This is a great place to relax by the ocean. Spectacular views, quiet beaches, picnic tables, bathrooms, and playground. Lots of grassy areas and a nice place to take a stroll or fly a kite. There is also an old fort you can check out. There is a charge for parking. You can also visit a terrific military museum located... More

This is a great large park with interesting fort, great for exploring, beautiful views into the bay. Plenty of parking and clean bathrooms. There's also a nice little beach area for the kiddies. Beautiful wild flowers everywhere and plenty of paths for walking and biking. Also enough benches to sit a while and take in the view. Also nice war... More

Great museum and tours around the old, abandoned fort. Seats so you can watch the ships sail past. Great location for a day at the beach or a picnic in the park.

Nearby beaches totally packed. Lots of seaweed and rocks. The fort itself is a bit disappointing. I mean, it's still there, along with some WWII-era construction, but it's not much of a tour. I would still say if you've not seen any of the other Civil War forts, it's worth a look.

Fort Taber and the Military Museum are treasures and worth spending some time, especially on a nice warm, sunny day. I love old forts and this one is intriguing. I understand that eventually the fort is going to be open more frequently. Walking along the pier or the open fields that give you great views of Buzzards Bay is guaranteed... More
