Easy early am snorkel beach.

Great snorkel and good for beginners and kids. Easy place to learn and super colorful fish just off rock reef to right of beach. Nice hilltop area to watch ocean.

Taught my wife to snorkel here. It is a perfect layout to improve and start to go further and further out as you progress. Does get pretty crowded but usually not many people early in the morning. Usually gets windy during mid-day hours. Also a great beach to sunbathe and relax.

Great snorkeling here, some shade, good swimming. Bathrooms and showers at public access. Gets crowded, with scuba dive lessons taking place in the morning. As with all South Maui beaches, come early for best experience. Shares public access with Mokapu Beach - good snorkeling on either side of lava rock point.

I can snorkel with fish and my son in the morning. Then I can swim with turtles with my daughter. In the afternoon, we hit the waves for boogie boarding. A perfect day at the beach.

When we visited this beach it was quite busy. They had washrooms and an area to shower off which was nice before the drive back to our resort. Wave's weren't bad here, so it's a place we'd bring younger children, although the wave situation can change pretty quickly all over Maui, so just keep and eye out. Waves tend to... More

You can't go wrong anywhere in Maui, but Ulua beach is as nice as any other. Great facilities if you are not actually staying at one of the oceanfront resorts.

Ulua is a very popular, crescent shaped, sandy beach in the Wailea area. Every time we've been to Ulua, the water has been calm and the snorkeling has been pretty good. Plenty of parking nearby.

We loved that this beach was quieter and less crowded than Wailea. Similar views and snorkeling, we were able to swim just around the rocks on the left side and see huge turtles. We saw them there for 3 of the 4 mornings that we were nearby.

grab your gear, great reefs to see at this beach. Good swimming for all family. Lots of shade, and restrooms. Parking lots is small so go early to get a spot. Take a picnic lunch, very good place to hang out for a day.
