We never got to snorkel here but still had a great day playing in the water and relaxing. It was so great to be able to walk here on the path from the Four Seasons. Loved our day here. No shade that we could see when we visited.

Great coral reefs for snorkelling but be sure to get there early though since it is very popular and their parking lot fills up quickly plus it gets extremely crowded with snorkels.

This beautiful beach has a great spot for snorkeling along the rocks to the right side of the beach. You can get really close to all the corals and the fish, and there is easy access so you can just go straight in from the sandy beach and the reef is just there. We rocked up around 10am on a... Took my 4 open water dives here! Gorgeous beach and lots to see underwater for divers and snorkelers alike. Easy water entry, nice bench up top for air bottles for divers.

Ulua Beach, Mokapu Beach, Keawakapu Beach and Wailea Beach are all next to each other on South Side of Maui. All of them are great beaches! The currents are not strong like in Makena ( The Big Beach) so it's safe for kids. BUT: Do not leave common sense home, while you come to Maui for vacation. Ocean can be... More

After looking for 5 days, I finally swam with a huge sea turtle on Ulua Beach. He was incredible and I will never forget the experience!

TIP: get there early (before 9 am) if you want a parking space. Limited parking and it fills up fast. Nice sandy beach for water entry, plenty of coral and fish to see, usually calm water. This beach has shade for those who just ant to sit and relax or sun for those sun worshipers. Bathrooms and a shower area... More

This was a great beach for shore dives. We went with Dive Masters from Maui Dream Dives for a couple of daytime beach dives and a night dive. The entry was fairly easy, not much of a wave to knock you over and the visibility was quite good just a short way in. There were turtles close by, in fact... More

On my last snorkeling adventure of the entire vacation, I finally got to swim with the turtles here. Turtles are common here, so if that's what you're after and you're in South Maui, this is the place!
