On my last snorkeling adventure of the entire vacation, I finally got to swim with the turtles here. Turtles are common here, so if that's what you're after and you're in South Maui, this is the place!

This beach is great for all ages and activities, there are scuba divers, snorkelers, boogie boarders, skim boarders and just people playing at this beach

Living on Maui we go to the beach a lot, at least every week. Ulua Beach was one of the first beaches I went to on my first trip to Maui decades ago, and it is still one of my favorites. It has lots of convenient, paved parking available. There are showers and bathrooms convenient to it. It is calm... More

My wife and I found Ulua Beach after having spent a disappointing morning at Big Beach. This tiny sliver of sand is nearly the opposite of Big Beach in terms of size, but the weather pattern had the big waves crashing at Big Beach making it dangerous for all but expert surfers or boarders. Ulua, on the other had some... More

This is just one more little gem of a beach that you can explore by parking at any point along the way (we use Keawakapu Beach) and set off on foot to enjoy. The sand is a nice gold color, the beach is very accessible, and it is a local's beach. Most folks bring their own beach chairs, snacks, etc.... More

This is an excellent all around beach for snorkeling, swimming, sup, or just relaxing. The facilities are nice as well-there are two showers, one with a rack for dive tanks, a decent bathroom and good parking. The lot can fill up early during the busy seasons. There is also a nice grassy area where you can sit and view the... More

Ulua bBach is between the Andaz Hotel (amazing) and Wailea Elua Condominiums. Great parking lot with restrooms and showers. get there early on the weekends if you want to walk the Wailea beach Walk in front of the hotels (amazing walk - 1.5 miles down and back. Worth every step!!! I walk it almost every night!

While tiny, this beach offers great snorkeling by the north end. Go early to avoid the crowds, but definitely a nice morning!

Second beach in Wailea. Also very close to the Marriott but we found the beach to be small and there were too many rocks on the beach - didn't make the experience great!

Great place to snorkel. Go early while wind is down for best snorkeling. Saw many eels and several turtles. Recommend highly.
