A pretty beach about a 5 minute walk from the Wailea Marriott. There is no lifeguard or umbrella/chair rentals, so bring your own. The snorkling was a big disappointment. The water was very cloudy and hardly any fish. Go up the road past Makena/Big Beach to a little cove that has great snorkling Ahihi Kinau Nature Preserve. Just beyond it are the lava flows. More

Small beach great for families, has a little shade, tide pools and a nice stretch of reef for casual snorkling. Have been here many times and always find something new in the ocean. If you are really lucky, you might view a sea turtle! But even if you don't, you won't be disappointed. More

We've snorkeled several places in Maui and this was the best. Beautiful fish, coral, sea urchins and one turtle. I hope to snorkel again, this time taking a disposable underwater camera. Those cameras don't work so well usually, but much of the sea life is so close to the surface of the water, I may be able to capture some... More

We went with an 11 yr old child, and a first time snorkeler. The winds ar strong right now, but early morning was perfect. Loads of beautiful fish and some lovely turtles. More
