This does take you along the resorts in Wailea, but there are gorgeous views of the ocean along most of the path. Don't expect a typical hike in nature here. This is more like a path in a really large park -- the gardens are all manicured here, and there will be people in most places. It can get crowded... More

This is a gorgeous walk/hike that anyone would enjoy. It doesn't take you into the wilderness, but it gives you beautiful views of the rocky northwest coastline. We were lucky to see a while bunch of huge sea turtles feeding in one of the rocky coves. We wished we hade brought bathing suits, because several of the coves along the... More

I seem to be going against common opinion, but my husband and I did not enjoy this walk. The only thing it was good for was to shake our heads in amusement/shock. Perhaps we are true "nature" lovers, not HEAVILY landscaped garden lovers. The gardens (of the resorts) were so manicured they bordered on being cartoonish. The grass couldn't get... More

Great beach train overlooking the water; landscaped with natural plants; gives access to beaches and hotels along much of Wailea.

Very well maintained concrete pathway that follows the shore about a mile in either direction from the Grand Wailea. There are clean restrooms here and there as well as benches and shade. This path is easy with only some slight hills, and is especially amazing at sunset.

If you drive to the end of the road south of Waliea, you reach a lva flow from the 1970's. Its a surreal landscape full of beautiful views of the volcano and blow holes and crazy black lava patterns as the molten lava froze into place when it hit the sea water. A neat drive and fun destination. Along the... More

Our family seemed to walk on the trail on a daily basis. We all enjoy the views and if you are dining at one of the neighboring hotels it is so easy to just walk to the restaurant.

Not too often you find an elegant, nature trail suitable for all fitness levels. As you stroll or run on this path you are treated to beautiful vistas and if your lucky a playful display from the humpback whales visiting Maui! Around every corner is a photogenic vista and peeking in at the high end hotel grounds is a treat... More

A leisurely walk around the coast edge. There benches and spots of grass like picnic areas for a rest and to sit by the ocean. Can watch for whales in the morning with turtles too. A stroll or exercise walk depending on your state of mood. Beautiful

This trail was so beautiful but we fortunately had a two seater mega stroller which took up too much of the trail so we opted for the road on the way back to Kea Lani. Awesome for runners or walkers acting to enjoy breathtaking views.
