The Wailea beach is, in many ways, similar to the Ka'anapali Beach to the north. It has a lovely walkway between the hotels and the beach and one can take leisurely stroll and watch the beautiful sunset. The beach is, naturally, very pretty with lots and lots of white sand. There are lot of space to swim and simply hang... More

Very nice beach, close to where we were staying. The Grand Wailea leads right onto the beach, making it easy to step onto the grounds and order a drink for basking in the sun!

Beautiful sand, lots of room. Waves were pretty insane at times but we liked hanging out at this beach. The wind was also quite strong both times we were there. We drove up from Kihei a couple times to enjoy this beach. Also nearby and worth checking out is Ulua beach. Parking fills up so get there early if you... More

Wailea Beach is the #4 rated beach on Maui, about 23 miles from Ka'anapali Beach (20 miles from Lahaina). It's a very comfortable stretch of sand with several resorts that can call this beach their own. Canopied beach chairs can be rented and the area is good for snorkeling (near the rocks) and boogie-boarding. We gained access through the Wailea... More

One of my top 3 favourites in Maui, in my top 10 in the world. Large, clean, sheltered beach with a long slow gradual gradient at the waters edge, which reduces risk of getting thumped by waves. Yes, there are a couple of big hotels, with their lounge chairs, but the beach is so huge you can avoid the high... More

This is one of our favorite beaches. Beautiful white sand, turtles and lots to see while snorkeling on either side of the cove. It also has restrooms and rinse off showers. Parking can be a problem sometimes but if you don't mind a little walk, you can always find a place. When we take our family with us to Maui,... More

Our condo was walking distance from this beach so we came here several times during our week in Kauai. It's clean and beautiful and not too crowded (at least not in late December-early January). The water is beautiful and the waves are gentle. We can see this beach and the ocean from our condo, so we got to enjoy it... More
