The setting is right out of movie. Lots of overhanging trees for shady areas to rest on the beach. And, after all the unbelievable underwater scenery to take in, you'll need a rest. The coral right off the shore is some of the healthiest and colorful I have seen. Teeming with fish and an occasional turtle. It was included in... More

While we love to body surf at Polo Beach, we come to Wailea Beach with the grandchildren since the bay is protected naturally and has mild waves. This gives a nicer setting for youngsters. Of course, there are a few supererb hotels on this beach.

All beaches on Maui are public beaches, but that doesn't mean there is public parking for the beaches. Wailea Beach is surrounded by about four to five hotels. So if you are not staying at one of these hotels I don't know how you can access the beach. The beach is about 1,000 feet long if I had to guess.... More

Wailea beach is nicely enclosed so there usually is not many waves. There is good snorkeling. Also, there are many small snack shops, one near the four seasons and one close to the grand wailea. Mostly I love the ocean walking path

The waves are a bit rough not use to it being from the east coast. I'm not a beach lover because of the coarse sand but this sand was the softest sand I ever did feel between my toes!!! Loved it and the views spectacular

I can never get tired of spending time on a great beach and this again offers some of the beauty Hawaii has to offer. Wish we had more time to relax and enjoy, being there are so many beautiful coastlines to see.

There many are better beaches on Maui. Not a lot of sand Aarea and some hotels rope off areas on the public beach for their guests.

Great white sandy beach close to the luxury hotels and where you are able to spot the whales, turtles and celebs!

Great snorkeling at the Grand Wailea and Mckena beach. Early morning water is calm. Around 3 in the afternoon waves are great for body surfing. And the sunsets are amazing.
