Mokapu is a small but beautiful beach located in the Wailea area. It hasn't been discovered by most of the tourists yet so head there if your looking for some peace and quiet. Snorkeling has been good on the two occasions we visited.

Mokapu Beach marks the northern-end of the Wailea Beach Path. This is another very nice beach on Maui in Wailea area.

This is a beautiful stretch of beach. It features easy access and isn't nearly as crowded as the neighboring Ulua. It has unfortunately gotten a bit more crowded since Andaz opened, but I still highly recommend it.

This is part of my daily walk from the ManaKaiMaui Hotel to the Andaz. From this long stretch of beach you will have to leave the beach here and go onto the hotel walks. You would have to bring your own beach chairs but then you can enjoy beautiful views, snorkeling and small sea life among The black rocks. I... More

This really is the most perfect beach on Maui with soft sand, smooth bottoms, and gentle waves if any. There is ample parking at the side of the Andaz hotel.

Compared to other beaches on the island, this one is short and narrow. There is nothing wrong with it and perfectly nice to sit on. But it is far cry from the beautiful beaches in other parts of the world.

Yes I said Turtles. Everywhere.. We counted at least 20 different turtles while we were snorkeling at this beach. What a memorable experience. Our grandchildren said this was their favorite beach..

Enjoyed our visit here as there was a little shade. Loved that we could walk to it from the Four Seasons where we were staying. There were chairs from the Andaz but it's a big beach with plenty of room so it didn't feel crowded.

Mokapu and Wailea Beaches are basically side by side along the famous southwest coast of Maui, which is generally known for great beaches and snorkeling. It was a little crowded, but still plenty of room to lie on the sand, snorkel, and just bob around in the waves. Clean bathrooms and showers, and close proximity to the fancy Wailea shopping... Another charming little stretch of beach with nothing out of the ordinary to make it stand out from all the other gems. There is public parking and public access. Nice sandy beach, not crowded (in September, 2014), and pleasant surroundings.
