This is a delightful little cove fairly easily accessed from Big Beach at Makena State Park. Water was crystal clear and the sand clean and soft. About 2/3 of the patrons chose to bare all. We returned several times during our 10 day stay on Maui.

Only if you can handle nude, gay and music in general. It's a free spirit beach and the party starts in the evening for locals. It's right next to the big beach and you can always use big beach if you get overwhelmed ;-).

Go on a Sunday and bring your bongos, tambourine or whatever you can drum with and join the folks who meet there for a wonderful drum session on the beach. Be aware, clothing is optional.

This was the best beach that we visited. The sand was soft, the waves were perfect, and the scenery was amazing. Yes, as others have stated, this is a nude beach and if you are not comfortable with that then don't go. If you comfortable then you will be able to enjoy this beautiful beach. I would say that the... More

Big Beach and Little Beach are easy access and wonderfully beautiful all times of the year. Continue on to the best snorkeling in LaPerouse Bay. Rent a Kayak and paddle with the whales . Dive or snorkle with the giant sea turtles. Zip Line upcountry. Breakfast in Paia with the rock stars.

This isn't just a great clothing optional beach, it is a great beach. Some people think it is the best beach on the island. There was a pretty big break when we were there in October. My wife and I each got rolled a few times. However, the bottom is soft sand and you can dive into the waves. Other... More

The best beach for sunning and water activity. The beach is smooth sand, so it is good for swimming and body surfing.

This is the first time I have been on a clothing optional beach I determined that being naked is great. Sand is fantastic, not course at all. There were some big waves coming in but they could be avoided by going out past where they broke. Give it a try, you will surely will enjoy it.

This past August, my wife and I and another couple had an opportunity to visit Maui again. Last time, we stayed up around Lahaina, this time we deliberately stayed down in Kihei. Kihei itself is very nice, by the way. The principal reason for my selecting where we stayed (Maui schooner resort, using the SFX travel club) was so that... More

Everyone probably knows that Little Beach is a clothing optional beach, one of the most beautiful in the world. There is a fairly easy climb over some lava rocks at the very end of Big Beach to get there; however, on this visit the surf was unusually high which made the entry impassable for me. Others were attempting it, but... More
