We did not know what exactly to expect from this beach that is part of a State Park but reputed to be sanctioned for CO. We parked in the main Makena State Park lot then climbed over a small rock outcrop to find Little Beach. It is not so little. We've been to Caribbean CO beaches that are smaller than... More

I love this beach! great snorkeling and boogie boarding. I have visited it over the last 10 years and it has become more popular. you got to be okay with nudity to go there but its a one of a kind place. people are so friendly.

The Little Beach is accessible from the right end of Big Beach. You have to walk along a ascending volcanic foot trail. There are no arrows or markers. The trail is a bit treacherous at times, so be careful. Not for the young or those with walking disabilities. The beach is so-so for nudity. Most wear some clothing, my wife... More

So was told by locals every Sunday they gave a gathering before sunset to have a real Luau with drums and fire sadly we didn't have enough time as we already had plans and couldn't cancel will go next time heard there are allot of hippies and naked people.

Beautiful little clothing-optional beach that's remote enough to be intimate and close enough to be accessible. Crystal-clear, warm water with a great little body-surfing wave during the week we were there. In a State Park with no facilities so be prepared to pack in AND out everything you're going to need, including plenty of water and probably a beach umbrella... More

Disclaimer--this is a nude beach. Sunday afternoons/evening is a drum circle that is a must see for the laid back adult crowd. Take a flashlight and be prepared to climb over some rocks to get there. It's located at the north end of Big Beach and is very private.

Can't love this place more. We woke up and headed to Little Beach every morning of our trip for a morning dip. Came and went every morning before any crowds arrived. The mornings were very quiet. Never felt any 'creepy' vibes. Yes there were naked older dudes...get over yourself. It's a nude beach. I did find humor in watching people,... More
