Our First Luau

Good food, the pork was really yummy! We were there for our 50th anniversary, they took a really nice picture that we are having enlarged. It wasn't a huge cast production, but it was done well. Music was great, narrator had a very pleasant voice.

Our hotel (Maui Coast) shuttle took us to the hotel early (at our request) so that we could tour the grounds of the Marriott Hotel, which is where the luau takes place. We enjoyed just walking and seeing their grounds. The luau was easy to find, with lots of signs pointing the way. It cost us $110/person. When we entered,... More

This was the first luau for my family and I. We had VIP seats at one of the front tables and since the cost was only slightly higher, we felt it was well worth it for us. The seats were great and the show was very nice. My 71 year old mom enjoyed the show the most. For me, the... More

I've been to a number of luaus over the years, including three visits to the Old Lahaina Luau over the last ten years. This year, our first 'vacation' as a family with a 10-month-old baby, we decided to stay in Wailea, which is about 45 minutes from Lahaina. I'm really glad the Old Lahaina Luau was such a far drive... More

Good food open bar. Pretty good show, very well organized. We had great tablemates. We had 2 for 1 tickets. You can see turtles right in front of the luau area. Wonderful sunset views. Get there early for the best seats.

Excellent backdrop with the pacific ocean at its best. A beautiful very normal sunset to accompany a very good show. The food was above average. At lease it was better than I expected. Attendance is high (around 300), but the service was good. Self serve drinks and buffet. Nice luau all around. I read that there is a better Luau... More

We loved this luau. We were watching the sunset over the ocean as a background for the dancers. They take a whole pig out of fire pit with apple in its mouth and have quite a production. When you first arrive they find you a seat. All seats are good. They have the bar open early and you can get... More

Honestly I expected more, clearly my expectations were too high. The food was just average, nothing to write home about for sure. The dancing, well, quite honestly the ladies were far better than the gentlemen. The highlight and the best part of the night was the fire dancer. Truly amazing to watch. That said all in all in was rather... More

We didn't know what to expect for a luau, having never been to one before, but we enjoyed this. There was a little too much plastic tableware and the food was good but nothing to write home about. There are vendors selling Hawaiian goods nearby and I bought a pair of beautiful silver earrings for $40, only to have them... More
