The view overlooking the ocean at sunset is beautiful. the drinks and food were surprisingly good. it's hard to get the food right at such a huge buffet, but somehow they managed it - no long waits on line, and the food was fresh and tasty and not bland. the show was a lot of fun, and the commentary was... The luau is an open bar, buffet dinner, local craftsmen, and live performances of hawaiian music and dance. Staff is excellent. The local crafts are wonderful. The piña colada was perfectly horrible from a place where the pineapple and coconut should have been fresh. The buffet is good, good variety and local food to try. The live performance was ok,... Overall good experience, it was fun to get a lei and check out all the crafts they were selling. The food and drinks were not good at all. The dancers were really great though. Fun evening activity, just don't go hungry.

My husband, mother and 18 month old just saw this luau the other night and we had a great time. The setting was breath taking with the ocean behind the stage, beautiful. The show was entertaining and the food and drinks were great. My toddler also enjoyed the show once he wasn't scared of the performers! We sat on the... More

The luau was something I was so looking forward to.It was nice to be greeted with a fresh flower lei,and a lovely outside setting. We paid over $200 for preferred first row seating and ended up in the second row looking over other people's heads which wasn't much fun. The show is billed from 5:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m., but... More

I read through SO MANY reviews to find the perfect Luau to go to while in Maui. We ended up choosing this one. It was amazing. The food, was beyond good-tons of options (mainly for meat eaters) there is vegetarian options, but more your typical side dishes and not mains. Vegans probably wouldn't have a ton of options. The bar... More

The more upscale of the two luaus we visited. Beautiful flower lei reception and flowers for the ladies hair. The setting is gorgeous and grassy, right on the ocean. The dancers were great as were the musicians. The food was excellent and very fresh. This luau is a must see.

There is more value for your dollar at the Te Au Moana Luau. We've been twice to this Luau on visits to South Maui. One year we tried the Luau at the Grand Wailei and were very disappointed with that experience. At the Grand, you had to pay extra for a Lei, the show wasn't as authentic. At Te Au... More

Excellent experience. Buffet style with a very entertaining show. If you want to experience a luau, this is as good as any. Come with a positive attitude and you will leave feeling the peacefulness of the island.

The food was just so so. The show was pretty good. The big disappointment was it rained earlier in the day so they held it indoors. would have much rather have been outside.
