My husband & I have been to the Hawaiian islands over 40 times & done many sailing/snorkeling trips. Most have been good, though not particularly memorable. This one is different. The owner, Sage, took just the two of us out for a lovely, relaxing ride which we enjoyed very much, particularly participating in paddling. However, the best part of the... more

Our excursion with Hawaiian Sailing Canoe Adventures was just the kind of unique, authentic Hawaiian experience we hoped to have on our visit to Maui earlier this month. They take a maximum of six people, so you are assured a personal experience. And what an experience we had!! Sage, the owner and our guide, snorkeled with us and took underwater... more

If you want to recreate a hawaiian sailing adventure like the native hawaiians, take this canoe adventurel. This small intimate sailing adventure takes you on a catamaran to snorkel and sail. It was relaxing and refreshing more

We have been coming to Maui for the last 6 or so years...Once we found out about the "Hina", we make it a point to do at least one trip or more during our two month stay. We have taken our guests as well. Everyone loves it! It's educational (we love hearing about the Ancient Hawaiian Culture)...The Whale Watching is... more

We had saw the reviews on Hawaiian Sailing Canoe adventures here on trip advisor prior to going to Maui for our first visit and decided that this would be a good diversion for our family. We have 3 kids, aged 10, 9 and 3(almost 4) and although "officially" they liked to have guests 5 or greater they were VERY accommodating... more

Thanks to Sage and Pekelo for making our very first experience on the waters of Maui such a special one. We met them smiling on the beach first thing in the morning, and after we pushed the canoe out on the water, we were treated to some really fascinating facts about the island; it's history, lore, etc. Both are natives... more

This was our third trip to Maui yet the first time we have experienced a sailing canoe. All six of us are sorry that we didn't do this years ago. What a great ecologically friendly way to enjoy the waters off the coast of South Maui. We have one more week on our vacation and plan to sail again before... more

After a wonderful Hawaiian chant to welcome the sun, Sage and Kihei paddled and sailed my husband and I to a fantastic snokeling spot. With Sage as a guide, beautiful tropical fish and other denizens of the sea, including octopus, were easily spotted and thoroughly enjoyed. We then proceeded to an area where the green turtle and several types of... more

My wife and I had an incredible time on the water with Sage. If you have never been on a sailing canoe, it’s one adventure you don’t want to miss. My wife and I both wish had gone on the water with Sage earlier in our trip as we would have booked a second excursion. As it stands now, my... more
