The drive here is not for faint of heart- up, down, up, down. We did a tour so went in a Russian army truck with chairs bolted on- even had a seat belt. It takes about 1 hour and a half to get here from Cienfeugos. Very interesting through some small towns, lots of farms, orchards of mangos and oranges,...

I loved that place. There you can imagine you are the most fortunate person in the world (i mean) for to have the opportunity of see all the magnifient of the nature.
The prices are not too low for the cuban people but anywhere it's a place that you must not take off when you visit Cienfuegos.

Because of some rainfall, we were almost alone here. Go to the second baisin, on top of the major waterfall for a swim, you will love it here! It's like paradise. Since it never rains for a very long time in Cuba, go there even when it rains. Sun will break through soon enough.

Beautiful and well worth taking a few hours to see and can easily be taken in on a day trip while visiting Cienfuegos

quite small, not a lot of water in the Winter. nice if you're alone in the park. As it's small, it gets busy very quickly ...
staff from the Ranch style restaurant are utterly unfriendly

El Nicho is the perfect escape from the heat of Cienfuegos during the day, the air is cooler and the scenery is stunning. We enjoyed a cool dip in a turquoise natural pool and the views across the mountains. We went with a cab driver as none of the tour companies were operating trips (too few people were booked on)....

pretty but not spectacular. At the ticket booth we were asked for our nationality and our passports. We hadn't brough them and he asked for the number (who knows their passport number off by heart?!) so my husband said he knows both mine and his. Clever man- just wrote down 2 sets of random numbers and we eere allowed in!
