We went to the waterfalls as part of a tour of the area. The guide was extremely knowledgeable and the scenery was stunning. The climb is not for the faint hearted or people with mobility issues. The tour does include stopping to swim. The food in the restaurant was good-they made me an omelette as the main was meat.

Came here with a Gaviota Tour, from Varadero. The tour was one day Nicho-Trinidad-Cienfuegos. This was a long, 18 hour day by mini-bus but very worthwhile. All three destinations were very interesting with good exposure to countryside and the natural environment. The group was small (five of us) and our guide was excellent. A day packed with learning as well... More

One of the nicest places we have been in Cuba. Get far away from stress and cars and relax in one of the natural pools

We thoroughly enjoyed our trip to El Nicho; the hike through the forest, the beautiful falls, and the opportunity to see more of the natural beauty of Cuba. The hike was not too challenging, and the scenery was definitely worth the effort and price of admission. This is a 'must see' in this area!

We visited El Nicho Waterfalls as part of a day trip booked through our resort. Quite a few hours' drive from Varadero but it was worth it! The total hike was an hour long. You get to see beautiful falls of various sizes, some lookout points over the forest and various flora (trees of oranges, limes, coffee, Cuban national flower;... More

This place was a day trip with lunch from our hotel tour. We liked the beautiful clear water in the pool. You can see so clear.

Really great place to visit. Recommend visiting first thing in the morning before the coach parties. Visit are with a guide supplied by the park

It cost me and my partner 60CUC to hire the taxi for the day (1hr ride) and then 9CUC each to enter the waterfall. Its was very beautiful and nice to swim but the crowds detracted from the peaceful surrounds and it was only a 10min walk up to the waterfall. We thought El Cubano in Trinidad had much more... More

Scenic waterfalls, guided tours (mine was through Cubacan in Cienfuegos) Nice guide that gave informations about the waterfalls and interesting details about the vegetation, followed by a nice lunch with enough food for everybody.

Instead of going to touristy Topes Collantes near Trinidad come here! Great nature, and almost no tourists! Great natural pools to swim in.
