Another attraction you can take in even if you only have a few hours in Cienfuegos. Its worth trying to take pictures at day and at night. Picture postcard buildings with amazing colonial architecture from the last century.

I visited the Plaza as part of an excursion from Varadero. The town is a pleasant surprise - wide avenues and very clean. It is a UNESCO Heritage site. The Plaza is at the heart of the town with all of the major buildings surrounding it.

It's in a great location, in a square surrounded by significant buildings and opposite the cafe in the Tearto, which serves great coffee (on most days). You can sit in the park and watch the old cars roll by and the locals and tourists wander past.
