Very good looking plaza. Colonial old time breathe. Mixed french/spanish style. It is worth to visit theatre and museum in the plaza. Buildings are in good condition, different than in Havana. Less crowdy.

The existing arch of triumph is said it was built because they were influenced by the French Revolution. The most important and best preserved buildings of the city are around this Plaza. Very vivid place... More

We thought Cienfuegos was going to be full of interest, and were a bit disappointed as it was not so very full at all. However, we managed to make a good time by meeting interesting people.

It's just a plaza, so I wouldn't traverse Cuba just to get here; but it is surrounded by some very elegant buildings, including the Teatro Terry. The plaza itself is spacious with a few places to catch some shade. The central statue to national hero Jose Marti is epic, and the right camera angle makes it look like he is... More

Around the plaza you can find some nicely restaured buildings like teatro thomas. Besides that it a nice place to watch some tourists like yourself wander by. And like on every street and plaza there will always be some wonderful vehicles to be photographed
