Rosalie has a lot of history associated with the Civil War and was used by military officials from the North as a base for the officers. Because of this, there was no damage to Rosalie. The furnishings inside are beautiful and quite extensive. This house is open all year and not restricted to just tours during Pilgrimage. Put it on... More

Beautiful home, beautiful views, and great tour guides! The home is well decorated, and has a great history! One of my favorite plantations that I have visited yet!

We did not manage to go through the mansion itself but the gardens and views were outstanding. The staff was very helpful despite the fact that we were too late to be included on a tour. The visitor's shop was intriguing. Most of all the views from this location were simply outstanding. The spring flowers were in bloom and added... More

What a lovely antebellum mansion. The tour was excellent and the grounds are lovely. Just make sure to take the tour before a busload arrives!

Remarkably restored and furnished antebellum home owned by the Mississippi DAR. I was in awe of some of the antiques that were so well preserved. Only complaint, no cameras allowed in the house!

Rosalie Mansion was one of three recommended to us by Natchez residents and it definitely didn't disappoint. The beautiful grounds offer a tremendous view of the Mississippi River--and the sight from the second-story balcony is even more incredible. The house is amazingly lovely and its history so interesting. Be sure to ring the bell in the garden to tell the... More

We were told the guided tours didn't start until 1 and we could pick up a guide book and walk through by ourselves. However, a lady in a fancy dress graciously guided us and another guest around the house. This was an okay tour, but I expected to learn more about the Civil War than we did. Most of the... More

Nice tour, lots of historical portraits and furniture, great view of the Mississippi River from the second story porch, pretty landscaping and separate gift shop on the property.

Rosalie is one of the oldest mansions in Natchez Ms. We took the full tour of the home & loved it. The home has around 80% of the original furnishings & was built in 1822 on old french Fort Rosalie. Don't pass this one up!

Rosalie Mansion does not have your typical history story of lost money after the Civil War. When word came that the Union Army would be arriving in Natchez, the family hid pieces of their furniture in the river bluffs. The Union army occupied the house, allowed the mother and daughter to stay there during the occupation, and made sure the... More
