What a great side trip that could turn into a whole day adventure. The Visitor Center CD made this location come alive. Real stories of ordinary people were terrific.

Take the time to read the names, dates and nationalities on the clean headstones. Lots of history there. Well maintained. Get out and walk. Narrow roadways and limited parking spaces.

The grounds of the cemetery are very well maintained. The turning angel is a must see; chilling story. I would recommend getting the cd from the visitors center to get specifics on the cemetery. If you don't have the cd, you can still enjoy the grounds. Wear your walking shoes!

My father is handicapped so we drove through instead of walking and as a result I feel we missed much. Even so, the sheer magnitude is overwhelming and to see so many "Unknowns" is heartbreaking. It is impossible to not think of the families, waiting at home for news that will never arrive.

I cannot say enough about this cemetary! It is beautiful, well maintained and so worth a lazy walk on a fall afternoon. I have the book so it was fun to look for the graves. Tons of photo opportunities. Take the time.....you'll be glad you did!

More than 17,000 veterans interred here and 12,000 are unidentified. Well kept and a wonderful, moving tour. Don't miss paying your respects to these veterns

My mother and I visited the cemetery and it is just so beautiful. The property is so peaceful and very well maintained. We were staying across town at Glenfield Plantation and it was worth the drive. So many pretty places to see along the way.

The older portion of this cemetary takes you way back several hundred years. The different sections are so interesting. This cemetary is worth seeing, as it is quite historical. Very peaceful and well kept.
